Breaking the News

I rushed home to share the news with Arjun and Pooja. I was so happy, I couldn't help but smile. The best thing had happened, I was pregnant! Arjun and I were going to have a baby! I was so happy and excited, after all these years of aching for a child, I thought my life was perfect when I found Pooja. But no, now, my life will be perfect. Arjun, Pooja, this kutty paapa and me. The perfect family. I call Arjun to tell him to come home. "Arjun? You have to come home now." I say. "Why?" He replies over the phone his voice going into romance mode. "I will if u give me a kiss over the phone." He says. My cheeks start warming up, as I imagine his lips on my own. "No, come home you will get something better than that." I say before immediately regretting it. I knew what he was going to think. "Really??!! Then I'm coming home right now." He jumps. "Thoo. I didn't mean that, I have something else." I say parking the car. "No, give me a kiss and I'll come." He says stubbornly. I sigh and give up, i wanted him to come home now. "Fine I'll give you one when you come home, so come home now." I say. He agrees. "Oh and pick up Pooja from school too okay?" I say. He agrees and I end the call. Soon they were both home. Ignoring Arjun I take Pooja into her room to change. "Pooja, today I'm going to give you some good news!" I say taking her hair out. "What Priyama?" She asks. "I'm going to get you ice cream today! Me, and Appa are going to buy our little Pooja kutty ice cream!" I say. "What's special?" Pooja asks. "Pooja's going to get a kutty paapa!" I say hugging her. "Really Priyama???!!!" She asks, I nod. She starts squealing and I tell her not to tell anyone until I told them. She agrees and I go to see Arjun. Arjun sits on our bed anxiously. He jumps up the moment he sees me. "What's the surprise?" He tells me coming close. "I won't tell you." I say. "Well how about the kiss you promised me?" He asks coming even closer. His hand reaches up to my cheek. "I won't give it." I tell him, smiling. "You won't?" He asks bringing our bodies together. "No," I breath. His lips just barely touch mine before I duck and run. He chases me around the room, before he grabs my waist and pulls me close. "You won't tell me?" He whispers stroking my cheek with the back of his hand. "No I won't." I reply trying to get free. He tightens his grip around my waist so that our lips were a millimetre apart once again. I smile and brush his lips with my own, before leaning back. Arjun opens his mouth to say something but I place my finger on it. "I'll tell you the surprise." I tell him. He moves my finger away and brings our lips close again. "Tell me." He says. I smile staring into his eyes. "You're going to get another child..." I whisper. Arjun gasps. "Priya..." He whispers. "I'm pregnant..." I tell him. His face filled with happiness as he lifted and spun me around. He sets me down and melt into his arms. I could spend eternity like this.. Right here, in the arms of my one true love. He pulls me off him and cups my cheeks. "I love you mangamma." He whispers into my lips. "I love you too.." I tell him. He brings his lips towards mine and I melt. As he leaned back to stare into my eyes, Pooja comes into our room. "Priyama?" She asks running into my arms. "You promised to get me ice cream today." She says. "Yah I did, we will go soon don't worry." I tell her. I pick her up and cuddle her, as Arjun cuddles both of us. This. This was my perfect family. A loving husband, an adorable and sweet daughter, and another one on the way. I would do anything to keep this family just like this forever.
