*Hollow's POV*
Something was wrong, very wrong. The putrid smell of angel wafted into my keen nostrils, no doubt about it. But it was not like the sweet scent of flowers like Spring or the warm chocolate scent of my sister, it smelled..minty fresh like a winter day.
My body tore out of my bedsheets, feet landing on the cold wooden floor which was surprising since hell's nights are usually boiling hot. I really don't want to get up but something is bout' to go down.
I need to get mum..
"Ma- oh, you're awake?" I bursted through the bedroom door to see Mum sitting wide awake on the edge of her king sized bed, her red tail flickering a mile a minute. Can she smell it too?
"Make sure nothing happens to your sister. Stay inside until I give the ok." She spoke with a hint of worry, her hands cupping my face as if I were to disappear any second.
I kept my face straight but, I began to worry for my Mum deep inside. She isn't as strong as dad was. I want to help but I know better than to go against her wishes.
Ma squished me in a hug, muttering a I love you before stepping out into the hall out of sight.
"Holly...what's wrong?" My sister quivered on the floor while I bursted in yet again. Stupid sister, sleeping on the floor like the mutt she is.
"Hollow, what happened?" Spring grumbled while groggily rubbed her crystal blue orbs to try to rid the sleepiness. Her beautiful white wings lay crumpled against her skinny shoulders as a small shade of grey tinted her fluffy feathers.
"There's an intruder. An angel that reeks of peppermint and cold. Mother is going to rid of em'." I spat in disgust, I vaguely- no, loathe angels. Yet somehow I'm able to tolerate Spring..
"Wait, cold and peppermint? That's my brother! Oh my god, we need to get outside before he kills your mother!" Spring screeched in horror while darting out the door. Well, she's pretty fast for those skinny legs she's got.
"Get back here! You're only gonna get hurt!" Hound was the next to chase idiot Spring who's about to throw herself in harm's way.
I let out an aggravated sigh before following my stubby legged sister's lead with quick clumsy steps down the hall and out the kitchen door.
