Part 27- There were tears in your eyes

[Anna's POV]

I sat in the waiting room of the hospital with AnnMarie. We've gotten to know each other better. I found out that AnnMarie likes Adam. When she told me that I laughed.

"I'm serious, Anna!" She exclaimed while her face was red

"I know. It's just, you met him an hour ago. That's all." I said while laughing

AnnMarie playfully punched me in the arm.

"How old are you anyway?" I asked her

"I'm twenty-two. How old are you?"

"I'm nineteen. I've known Adam since we were five." I said

She nodded her head. A doctor came in and sat down by us with a sad look.

"Good news and bad news, good news is that Adam is awake and he isn't dying, the bad news, "He sighed and continued, "Miss. Emerson you said you have know Adam since you were five correct?"

I nod.

"Adam, has lost all memory of you. I'm sorry but he is convinced that AnnMarie is his best friend." The doctor said while leading us to Adam's room.

I stopped halfway in the room when I saw him. His chest had wires sticking out and stitches in his head. He smiled when he saw us. Well, mostly AnnMarie. I looked at here she had an apologetic look on her face.

"Hello, Adam" she said

"Hey AnnMarie." He whispered. Then he looked at me, "Who's your friend?"

I felt heartbroken. Tears formed in my eyes. I stepped forward.

"Adam, I would like you to meet Anna Emerson. My.....friend." AnnMarie said

He smiled. I waved and looked away. The doctor told us we had to leave. We walked down the corridor and outside. He doesn't remember who I am. We got in a taxi and went to Beth's apartment. AnnMarie looked at me.

"There were tears in your eyes back there. Anna, I really am sorry. I will do my best to treat Adam nicely. I live in New York, not Minnesota. I'll tell Adam when I see him that I need you to be with me. How does that sound?" AnnMarie asked softly

I nodded my head in agreement. I was to sad to say anything. We arrived at Beth's apartment, I ran to my room, sat down on the bed and cried.

When would Adam get his memory of me back? I wondered.

A/N: So what do you guys think should happen in Part 28-80? I honestly only planned up to this part. I'm gonna make this book like eighty parts or so. Anyways, please PM me your ideas. I will use them in future parts! I don't care if they are silly to down right serious. Just nothing bad and inappropriate if you know what I mean.
