[Adam's POV]

"You there? I said meet me at the park in twenty minuets, Adam" the girl said.

"I....I heard. I'll be right over."

Then I hung up the phone. I made sure I had my keys and phone then went out and drove to the park. I got out and walked around the park. I had no clue what this lady looked like or what her name is. I passed about twenty ladies and couldn't find who I was looking for. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out and read a text

From:BLOCKED NUMBER To: Adam

Adam, my name is Selene Goldman. Here's a hint. I see you. Look to your left.

Strange. I looked to my left. I saw a girl with blonde hair with green highlights leaning up against a tree. She wore a pink shirt and ripped pants and bright neon yellow tennis shoes that could blind you if you looked at them too long. I put my phone back in my pocket and walked over to her.

"Hey," I said as I leaned up against the tree.

"Hello, Adam. I'm Selene. So tell me about your girlfriend. Let me guess, she dumped you and moved to Panama to live a better life."

I got mad.

"WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT! NO THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED! SHE-" I stopped when I heard her laughing. "Why are you laughing?!"

Selene stopped laughing and smiled at me.

"Because. You're funny when you're mad." She told me.

I blinked like I had been hit by a truck.

"I honestly have no response to that," I stated.

Then, Selene asked me how my music was going. I frowned and told her. We continued to talk for an hour and I felt comfortable around her. While we were talking, Selene had told me that she is twenty years old and likes owls. I told her my age and what I liked. Then, I found myself inviting her over.

I drove her to my house. It was six in the afternoon and we both were hungry. As I made us dinner, I kept in mind that I already have a girlfriend. Once dinner was ready, I gave her a plate with spaghetti on it. I sat down, gave thanks for our meal, and started eating.

When we finished we went to the den and talked some more. Then Selene said that she needed water. I offered to get it for her but she protested and said that she could get it herself. Selene got up and went.

I waited for thirty minuets and she didn't come out. Worried, I got up and went to check on her. I didn't see her, I looked around. Then I saw a shadow behind me, then Selene whispered

"I'm so sorry Adam."

Smack! She hit me on the head with a frying pan. My vision spun and I fell to the ground unconscious.
