A/N: Sorry for the misunderstanding about the last update. I am not updating at the end of each month. I couldn't take that. I meant in the book. Since Anna is spending 6 months in Panama, I'm having each part start at the end of the month. Like in this part. It'll be two months that Anna has been on the mission trip. Make sense?

[Anna's POV]
"ANNA DO WE HAVE EVERYONE?!" David shouted over the wind and rain.
I counted. Yep everyone's here.
"WE HAVE ALL OF THE KIDS!! LET'S GET INSIDE WITH EVERYONE ELSE!" I shouted in reply.
Me and David closed the doors to the safe house. It's big enough to hold everyone in the village. Rain soaked through me and my clothes stuck to my skin. Thunder boomed over head and the lights flickered. The little kids started crying. I went over to them and sat down. We sang a song and it helped them calm down. Annie came and crawled into my lap. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head. Two months. Four more to go. This whole month, which is May, has been a disaster. It's been storming like this the whole time. The village is almost ruined. The safe house was built to stand storms like this. I didn't know what time it was. Time didn't matter. All that mattered was that the storm would pass and we'd be able to get out. Once, a few years ago, a storm like this happened and the villagers stayed in here for over a year. My heart beat increased as we heard crashes around us. Annie buried her head into my shirt. I consoled her and started telling her about Adam. When I finished, Annie stared at me and smiled.
"Is Adam your husband?" She asked
I smiled and laughed.
"No. I wish. He's my boyfriend," I told her with a smile.
"He should marry you. You're nice."
"Thanks," I replied.
Then I frowned as I remembered the time when Adam lost his memory, almost died twice, stabbed himself, cut himself, fell of stage, and so on and so forth, everything that has happened to him, I have been there for him. It's a big wish but maybe, just maybe, we were meant to go together after all of this drama dies down. I hoped and prayed that that was the answer.
I was brought back into reality when Annie and all of the other kids yelled in fear. The storm wasn't as intense but still continued. The wind shook the building and the lights went out. Everyone screamed, even me. Then all of the adults brought out lanterns. I was getting tired. I told David that and he said I could go to sleep over in the far right hand corner. I told Annie to stay with her friends, she protested saying that she wanted to be with me. I sighed and let David know that Annie will be with me. Then, I held her hand and we made our way to the far right hand corner through the mob of people.
We reached it and I pulled the curtain that separates me from everyone else. I asked Annie to close her eyes while I change. She did and I put my pajamas on. Once I was changed I told her that she could open her eyes. I laid down on the cot in the sleeping bag and Annie crawled in with me. I kissed her forehead.
"I love you,Anna" she whispered to me.
Tears formed in my eyes and I smiled.
"I love you too, Annie" I whispered in reply before I dozed off into a dreamless sleep.
