Trubel had just been tortured by Bonaparte's friends for weeks. However, even that couldn't make her regret the assignment she spent with Vincent outside the compound or her identity that she had accepted along the way. She was Trubel. Nick knew it and Vincent knew it which was why Bonaparte had to make an example out of her. Trubel knew his decision would only further seal his fate. She hated him more, and more, and more...
"Your four weeks are up," Bonaparte said, opening the cell door for Trubel.
She wasn't happy. She walked out of the cell and Bonaparte caught her in his arms. She didn't fight him.
"Now, don't be upset with me," Bonaparte requested politely. "Theresa, my dear girl, you know I love you. And what kind of horrible person would I be if I didn't help you live up to your full potential," Bonaparte explained innocently.
Trubel couldn't look at him.
Bonaparte held her chin in his hands and positioned her face to look at him. "This doesn't have to happen again," Bonaparte said. "Just don't make any more mistakes," he warned.
She nodded, and Bonaparte grinned.
Trubel was training new recruits brought in from a different compound. It was a nightmare. A lot of them were younger, rash Wesen who thought they knew what they were doing better than she did. Trubel tried to train two at a time at first, but it didn't go well. The men ended up getting in a real fight and one of them killed the other. Trubel decided to take the credit for the murder because it made her seem crueler, and she knew the other man wouldn't say anything because she would actually kill him if he did.
Trubel then tried training them all in a big group. In her past life, Trubel could be very patient with people, especially kids. However, a lot of the new recruits were believed in the Black Claw bandwagon and were absolutely horrible people. One of the older recruits was talking about torturing every human left on the planet after the war was over, and how fun it would be. Trubel told him to be quiet and focus, but when equally horrible ideas came out of his mouth, she lost it. She nearly beat him to death, but she didn't kill him which actually surprised everyone.
Another recruit, like the first, also ended up at the infirmary. He tried to pick a fight with Trubel and attempted to have the whole group rise up against her when she gave him constructive criticism. Another kid had joined the uprising, but he backed off when the first one had also almost gotten beat to death. That kid was on a short leash... And then he purposely started sabotaging Trubel's training sessions. He played the role of innocent victim whenever she got upset with him, but he was really a manipulative, power hungry monster. Was everyone who worked for Black Claw like that?
One day, that very kid was purposely doing a move wrong just to make her angry and show off to the other recruits. She didn't know that Nick and Vincent had walked in when she started yelling at him, stomped on his ribs (breaking a few), and slammed his head against a wall.
Some guards rushed in suddenly. Trubel asked them what they wanted while also noticing Nick and Vincent in the corner. It was good to see them, and she missed them, but couldn't let them know. She quickly averted her gaze and listened to the answer that the guards gave her.
She was in trouble.
She cursed. She knew that her meeting with Bonaparte was going to hurt. Sometimes she wished that she would somehow stop making him mad. She was doing everything he wanted and he still found reasons to punish her.
She walked past Nick and Vincent, trying to pretend like she hadn't noticed them.
