Team 10

Chapter 3: Nevada

Madeline and Mark have been texting since they left the rest station back in Tennessee. He knows she has a boyfriend, but he also know that the only reason she has a boyfriend is because she doesn't want to hurt him. Cody is fully committed in the relationship but Madeline feels it is very boring and she wants more excitement. Madeline and Paris are getting really close to California and the excitement levels are getting higher. They were so happy that they were going to meet Team 10 but they still didn't know how to introduce themselves. They were excited and nervous at the same time. How would they react? How would they approach? They didn't think about any of this before they left. They didn't think about how their boyfriends would react when they found out they were gone. And they knew soon Cody and Cole would call or text to see where they are. But then they realize they have been gone a day and still haven't gotten a text or call from Cole or Cody.
2 hours later...
Madeline's phone starts to ring. She looks at her screen and realizes it's her older brother
Cole. She answers it and puts it on speaker.
Cole: hey, are you with Paris right now?

Madeline: yes, why?

Cole: her mom just got arrested and I've tried calling her 6 times but it just keeps going straight to voicemail.

Madeline: holy shit! Are you serious?!

Cole: yea... how far away are you from the police station?

Madeline: um... about 36

Cole: minutes?

Madeline: no... hours...

Cole: what the fuck?! Madeline this is not the time for jokes! Where are you?

Madeline: Nevada...

Cole: what the hell Maddi! What are you doing in Nevada?!

Madeline: Paris and I are going to California...
We are trying to pursue a dream of ours and we may or may not come back. I'm sorry you had to find out this way but this is what is best for us and our future and I hope you can understand.
Cole hangs up the phone in anger and hasn't called back since then...
