Team 10

Chapter 4: California

They finally got to California. Cody called earlier begging them to come back. Cole hasn't called since he found out where they were going, he's still mad. They don't want to "annoying fans" and just go to the Team 10 house so they decided to drive by and check it out. They pulled up in front of the house and Paris's car stopped running suddenly. We look to the top of the house and see Ivan and Emilio having a water balloon fight.

Madeline: should we ask them for help?

Paris: no, we don't want to bother them, let's just try to figure it out.

After about 30 minutes of looking under the car hood trying to see what's wrong they feel a splash of water and realize a water balloon just hit their windshield.

Ivan: oh, sorry.

Paris: it's fine.

Emilio: do you guys need some help?

Madeline: oh, no, we don't want to bother you...
Emilio: hold on.

Emilio and Ivan climb down from the roof and before the girls realized they were in front of the house helping them with the car.

Emilio: you broke this thing

He said pointing towards the ignition. He obviously knew what he was talking about he just didn't know how to say it in English.

Paris: damn. How much will that cost to fix?

Ivan: not sure. Come in and we will call you a mechanic.

Madeline: are you sure?

Emilio: yes.

Madeline and Paris follow the twins into the Team 10 house and see Jake.

Jake: who are they?

Ivan: their car broke. Can we call mechanic for them?

Jake: yeah, sure. What's are your names?

Madeline: I'm Madeline and this is my best friend Paris

Jake: I'm Jake.

Paris: we know...

Jake: oh, where are you guys from?

Madeline: North Carolina...

Jake: you drove here from North Carolina?!

Madeline: yea...

Jake: you guys look kinda young...

Paris: yea... we're 15

Jake: you're 15 and you already have your license?

Paris: no..

Jake: oh. Well then... how can we call a mechanic for you if you're not even licensed drivers? You guys might be stuck here for a while so we can figure this out.

Paris: we can leave...

Ivan: NO! Stay here.

Madeline: are you sure?

Jake: yea. Stay here. You guys have been driving forever. Go take a shower, make yourself at home. We can figure this out.

Madeline: ok... thank you so much.

Madeline and Paris take showers and they realize they locked their keys in the car... Ivan and Emilio offer them sweatshirts and Tessa lets them borrow some shorts. Team 10 seems to like them. (Especially Ivan and Emilio) Jake played a movie so everyone joined together on the couch. Emilio said next to Madeline and Ivan sat next to Paris. Everyone except Ivan, Emilio, Paris and Madeline went to their rooms to go to bed, Madeline and Paris were sleeping on the couch though. They all fell asleep on the couch towards the end of the movie. Madeline's head resting on Emilio's chest, and Paris and Ivan were in a laying hug.
The next morning...
Paris woke up in Ivan's arms and looked over to see Madeline curled up with Emilio. She felt bad. They didn't know about the girls boyfriends yet.. Madeline woke up 30 minutes later in tears. Paris had already fell back into her sleep. When Madeline jumped she woke up Emilio and he seemed confused by her tears.

Emilio: are you ok?

Madeline: um... yea. I just had a bad dream.

Emilio: oh, I'm sorry.

Madeline: it's ok... we should probably get dressed and stuff...

Emilio: can't we just lay here a little while longer?

Madeline: we could, but it wouldn't be right.

Emilio: what do you mean?

Madeline: I have a boyfriend... I don't have feelings for him anymore I just don't know how to tell him that...

Emilio: so.. you have a boyfriend, but you wish you didn't?

Madeline: yea.

Emilio: you should tell him that

Madeline: I don't want to hurt him

Emilio: it will hurt him more when he finds out from someone other than you.

Madeline: you're right. I'm going to go call him.
