Sincere

I pulled my front door open, due to someone ringing the doorbell. "Missed me Sincere?" I smiled when I saw that it was only Marlon at the door. I laughed and pulled him into a hug, since I hadn't seen him in months. It's like he and Tiana disappeared some months ago. I've tried getting in contact with the two of them but they'd never answer their phones or respond to texts.

"Yeah I did. Where the hell have you been at the past few months?" I asked, still holding on to him. "Let me come in first." I smiled and moved over so he could walk inside. "Jason told me where you were staying at when I got back in town from St. Louis." "Why were you in St. Louis?" I asked, taking a seat on the living room couch with him.

"You know Tiana and I were engaged, right?" He asked. My eyes almost shot of my eye lids when he said that. "Since when!?" I yelled. He laughed. "I proposed to her about a year and a half ago. I thought she told you. She said she wanted you to be her maid of honor but she couldn't get in contact with you. I thought she finally told you though."

I shook my head, no. "I haven't been able to get in contact with the two of y'all in months," I replied. "Oh, well I proposed to her and we just got married a few days ago. She said she couldn't wait any longer so we went and eloped. We just got back from the Bahamas about a week ago." "Congrats Marlon. I can't believe you and T are finally growing up," I smiled.

"I know. It seems like yesterday I was still running around with them nasty ass hoes." "I know. I'm proud of you, of her too but why were you two in St. Louis? Or is it top secret marriage business?" I asked, laughing. He shook his head, no. "Nah. We want a lot of kids, like a big ass family but she doesn't want to pop out all of those kids and we both wanted to adopt so we adopted a little girl. We went to pick her up from St. Louis a couple of days ago," He replied.

I smiled. "Aw. What's her name?" "Her name's Malaysia. She's the same age as Victoria," He said. "Oh my gosh! I wanna see her, when can she come over?" I asked. He laughed. "When ever Tiana gets back from showing her off to your family. Where's my favorite cousin at? I wanna see him."

I frowned. "Oh, Effrin?" I asked, trying to stall. He nodded his head. "Yeah. I know y'all don't live together no more but I went by his place and nobody answered." "That's because he's away. He hasn't been feeling well the past few weeks so he went on a little retreat to get healthy again," I lied. He raised an eyebrow. "A retreat? Okay," He mumbled, standing up. "I'm about to head out."

I sighed. "Why? You just got here." "I know but I need to pick Tiana up from your Grandma's but I'll be back later so you can meet Malaysia, alright?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Yeah." Marlon hugged me before walking back out to his car to go get Tiana.

After locking back up I made my way back upstairs to my bedroom, where I was at before Marlon came to the door. Monroe and Mark are somewhere with Lynn, Quincy is just M.I.A., Victoria is at tutoring, Trey is at practice and I didn't bother going to the trap house, so I've been lonely all day today. The only thing I've been doing is reading these letters Effrin wrote to me.

I figured the letters would be of Effrin confessing his love like many times before but it's not. They're completely different than how I expected them to be. Some of them talked about how he loved me, others about how he felt during our break ups, how he felt when he first laid eyes on me, and his life in the rehabilitation center.

My Gorgeous Queen,

I could sit here and write about how much I love you all day. I could write pages upon pages just on your image alone. I could sit 'til the break of dawn just remembering all of the good times we shared and I can even jump out of this window, run bare foot across town just so I could come see you and feel your lips against mine again but I won't.
