"Emily!" Daniel yells as I lay on the ground my shoulder broken in two places, I glance up seeing him running into the living room as I spit blood on the carpet. As Daniel reaches me I hear a click of a gun.

"What happened to you?" He asks before trying to help me to sit up, I shake him off worry in my eyes.

"Get out of here! Run!" I order as I he tries once more, telling me 'No, come on.' Before hearing footsteps behind him, he turns seeing the gun and shield's me from getting shot as the gun goes off.

I feel tears in my eyes as I look at Daniel who fall beside me, then my eyes focus on the brunette who had just shot him. I hear someone else yell and more shots fire off as I look up seeing Jake Porter coming towards us. As I move closer to Daniel I feel him turn closer to me.

"Why didn't you listen to me Daniel? Why didn't you run?" I say angrily as I put pressure on his wounds my tears falling, "Your going to be okay Daniel. Your going to be okay."

"Still lying to me?" He gasps as I keep the pressure on the wounds shaking my head slightly as I sniffle.

"It's not a lie Daniel," I say as he looks me gasping for air.

"I know," he says his breath catching as he reaches to touch my face, "I know," he repeats as the air leaves his body and it becomes limp on my lap. Tears continue to follow down my cheeks as I move to close his eyes.

As I glance up at Jake as l feel my whole body shake as I close my eyes, once I open them I am back in bed at the Greyson Manor with Daniel hovering over me a worried expression on his face. He wipes my cheek taking the tear that had fallen off with his finger tip.

"Baby, what's the matter?" He ask softly kissing my temple as he wipes another tear off my cheek, "you where yelling in your sleep."

"It was just a dream," I say pulling him down into a kiss as I try to forget how real the blood felt and how the pain of the loss hit me. He kisses me then pulls me against him once he's laying beside me. I place my head on his bare chest as I take a deep breath in, his scent calming me down as I close my eyes.

"It must have been one hell of a dream," Daniel mutters through a yawn, "you were kicking me and saying something about running."

"It was a nightmare."

"Want to talk about it?" He questions as I glance at our clock that reads 3:45 AM.

"No."

When I wake in the morning I hear the kids laughing and squealing as I reach for my thin lace robe, I notice Daniel is gone. That's when I smell the bacon be cooked, I smile to myself as I slip on my slippers and head for the door.

"Smells wonderful," I say as I come into the kitchen to watch my husband cook, I glance around the room smiling when I spot Lily and Max watching cartoons as Hope watches the tv too from her high chair.

"What's the occasion?"  I ask smiling as Daniel moves to pull out a chair for me, sitting down he places orange juice in from of me.

"It's our anniversary," Daniel mutters as he mutes the tv, "Kids breakfast is ready."
I smile and then glance at Daniel's phone as it rings, he sighs before picking it up and I watch his face fall. My hand reaches for his as he continues to talk to his boss, I then glance at the kids before taking the tv off mute hearing Daniel's voice crack with emotion.

"When?"

"Go watch more tv babies mommy has to talk to daddy," I say calmly as I take a breath touching Daniels shoulder with my hand.

Charlotte POV

"Emily?" I say looking down the hallway as my husband walks down it with our son in his arms.

"Charlie, Daniel and I just got a phone call," Emily says and by the tone in her voice I take a seat before she can tell me to.

"Who is it?" I say taking a deep breath closing my eyes waiting.

"It's Patrick," Emily says as I take in air feeling tears in my eyes, "it happened early this morning. His car was hit by a drunk driver."

"Oh my god," I say covering my mouth as I close my eyes, "how's Nolan?"

"He's heartbroken. I'm heading over to his place right now," Emily says as I hear my niece in the background say 'bye mommy.'

"Okay keep me posted," I say softly, "and let me know when the funeral is."
