Three Years Later

"Lily! Come clean up your toys," I yell up the stairs as I walk to my children's playroom, "You have to clean up your things too Max."

My dark haired two year old son looks up at me holding out his truck, "Why?" He asks, as his sister my three year old daughter her blond hair blowing through the air, comes running in.

"Because your aunt, uncles and your grandpa David and grandma Vikki are coming over," Daniel says as I look over at him, he was leaning on the door. A smile appears on my face as I move over to my husband's side, Daniel wraps his arms around me. He grins as he goes back to watching our children clean up their toys, I lean against him.

"You know what Danny," I begin to say as I feel him wrap his arms around me.

"What?"

"I was meant to fall for you and be with you," I say as I hear the doorbell ring.

"You get the door," Daniel says as I nod slowly. I kiss him gently as the kids say 'ew', I pull away as the doorbell rings again, and I sigh.

"I love you Daniel Edward Grayson."

"I love you too Emily Rebecca Grayson."

"What about us?" Lily says as Max walks over to me, I bend down and pick him up as Daniel heads upstairs to get his suit jacket.

"We love you too Lilian Amanda Grayson and you too Maxwell David Grayson," I say poking Max's nose as he hugs me.

"Lily come open the door with mommy," I say my arms still around Max.

Lily and I open the door to see our guests standing there, "Merry Christmas," I say looking from David, Victoria and Charlotte along with her husband, I smile and then my eyes land on Nolan and Patrick as my smile gets bigger.

"Come in please," I say moving grabbing Lily's hand so she moves with me, Daniel comes down the stairs buttoning up his jacket.

"Everyone I have an announcement to make," I say and Daniel joins me.

"I have some news," Charlotte says smiling as she looks at Declan who nods, "Declan and I are expecting," she says and I smile wide.

"That is amazing," I say and Nolan hugs Patrick.

"I have more good news," Pat says as he looks at everyone and I smile at the look on his boyfriend's face, "Nolan accepted my proposal," he says and then Nolan chuckles adding, "We are getting married."  

"What's your news Emily?" Daniel asks as I look into his eyes as I bite my lip.

"I'll tell you later, now is not such a good idea," I say softly as I tickle Max who is still in my arms.

"I WANT TO TELL DADDY NOW MOMMY," Lily yells as I shush her, Daniel looks at her and then takes her into the playroom.

"Let's clean up your toys," he says as he kneels down picking up one of Lily's Barbie's, "Mommy will tell me when she is ready princess."

"Miss. Emily," I hear the servant say as I turn to face her placing Max down on the ground holding his hand, "Dinner is ready."

Daniel and Lily finish cleaning the playroom as everyone makes their way to the dining room, Charlotte comes up to me as Daniel takes Max over to his high chair. I hug her as she hugs me back, "You should tell Daniel about the baby Emily," She says softly, "You are going to be showing soon."

I glance at the ground, "Charlie, I can't you told them about your news and Nolan told his news with Pat. I can't rain on that," I say softly as I look into her eyes, "I know it's not going to ruin things Charlie. It's just I'm not sure the baby is going to survive."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm having really bad cramps," I say looking away, "I might go lay down."

A few hours after the dinner, I was tucking Lily in while Daniel tucks Max in. I stand up walking to the door, Daniel follows me as I feel a sharp pain in my stomach, I lean on the door and Daniel places his hand on my back, "Em?" I hear him saying as I feel a gush in between my legs, my eyes widen, I was miscarrying my baby.

"I'm fine just help me to the bathroom," I say leaning against him as I feel him holding me. We make our way to the bathroom and my knees buckle as I feel pressure in between my legs and I let out a loud moan.

"EMILY," Daniel says as I slide my hand into my pants, I feel a slippery crown of a baby's head my eyes wide, I was not miscarrying; I was in labor and delivering my baby.  

"I'm pregnant Daniel," I say groaning as I slide my pants off, "And I'm in labor," Daniel's eyes widen as he runs to get towels, I close my eyes as I fight the pressure of pushing, "Hurry Danny, I want to push."

"Breathe Emily," Daniel says as he puts a towel over my knees, he looks to see how far along I am and he smiles, "push baby, the head is right there."

I grit my teeth pulling my legs back, pressing my chin to my chest as I bare down, I feel Daniel putting counter pressure under the baby's head as I keep pushing. I feel a little bit of relief when I feel the head pop out, Daniel smiles and cups the baby's head; I let out a cry as I push the shoulders out and then my cries are joined by that of my third child.

"Oh Emily," I hear Daniel say as he cuts the cord and wraps the baby up, "You did it love," I look at him holding the baby he had tears running down his face, "It's a beautiful little girl."

I take the baby into my arms as I hold her rocking her to calm her cries, I feel my own tears falling again as I cradle the little girl closer to me, "She is beautiful. Hello Hope," I say softly and look at Daniel, "I guess we got our Christmas gift early."

"That we did," Daniel says as he pulls out his phone and hitting my midwives number, "Hi Destiny its Daniel. Emily just gave birth, no it was a total surprise to us too. It's a beautiful baby girl; can you come check her and the baby over. Awesome see you in an hour."

"Can you help me to the bedroom then get some of the diapers that we had put away with Lily's baby clothes please," I say as I feel Daniel help me up, I cradle the baby in my arms.

"Hey Emily," Destiny says once she is let in the house twenty minutes later, "I left right after Daniel called me and I got here early," she says as Daniel covers the baby up in her bassinet, "So let's look you and this beautiful baby over."

"Destiny I would like you to meet Hope Rebecca Grayson," I say as I lean against the headboard.

"Everything seems fine with you and the baby," Destiny says looking at me, "Lets fill out the birth certificate."
