Bellamy's P.O.V

"Where is she?!" I barged into medical and looked around frantically. Several Council members were sitting down and waiting to be examined by Doctor Griffin, but my focus was all on trying to find Harley.

I saw her father, Daniel, on the other side of the room. I didn't hesitate as I quickly walked over to him. He looked up from the ground when he saw me. I knew by the look in his eyes that there wasn't any good news.

I glanced at the curtain beside him that I guessed had Harley behind it. I stepped towards it, but Daniel held out his hands to stop me.

"Bellamy-"

"I want to see her," I said.

Daniel nodded. His eyes were full of pain, "She's not awake."

"That's ok-"

He stopped me, "Bellamy she's not just sleeping. Harley's in a coma."

I stared at him in shock. I literally felt myself stop breathing for a moments as his words sunk in, "But, she'll wake up, right? She has to wake up."

"Doctor Griffin said there is a lot of damage to her brain. It could be years before she wakes up, if she even makes it that long," Daniel looked like he was about to break down, and I could tell that I didn't look any better.

I felt tears pooling in my eyes as Daniel moved out of my way. I felt a heaviness set in on my chest when I pulled the curtains back to find Harley lying on a bed, attached to all kinds of machines with an IV in her arm. Her face had scratches and bruises all over it.

I saw Archie sitting beside the bed, holding her hand with tear stained cheeks. I walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Harley's a fighter, Archie," I told him. "She'll make it." I didn't know if I was trying to convince Archie of that or myself.

I heard him let out a breath before letting go of Harley's hand and standing up. He turned towards me, "You can have some time with her if you want."

I gave Archie a quick thanks as he walked to the other side of the curtain. I took a seat in the chair beside the bed, and reached over to brush a stray strand of hair away from her face. My fingers lingered on her bruised cheek. She looked so helpless; so fragile.

I couldn't imagine spending years without her. I couldn't imagine not seeing those lively hazel every day as she found another thing to make fun of me for. My heart ached thinking of a life without her in it.

"Hey, Princess," I said. My voice came out weaker than I intended. "I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm going to find whatever bastard was behind it, and I'm going to kick his ass," I slowly grabbed her hand and laced my fingers through hers. "I'm an idiot, Harley. I should never have let you go. I should've-" I took a deep breath as I stopped myself from falling apart. "I should've said it back. I should've told you how hopelessly in love with you I am," Now, she might not ever wake up to hear me say it. God, why didn't I tell her? "I love you so much, Harley, and I need you to open your eyes. I need you to wake up." I scanned her face desperately for any kind of response, but nothing came. Anger overtook my whole body as I stood up in frustration and kicked over the chair. "Damn it!"

Angry tears formed in my eyes as I stormed out of medical with the sound of Archie following close behind, trying to calm me down. I wasn't listening to a damn word that cam out of his mouth. I was so full of rage and regret and guilt. I just wanted to hit something.

I made it to the room Harley and I always met in; the room where we had our first date. I let out an angry yell as I kicked over chairs and turned over a new table they had just put in the room. I heard Archie saying my name, but I continued to ignore him as I knocked over another chair.
