My Kiss In The Rain

~Devin's pov~

She was ignoring all my calls and my texts. I had to see her, I needed to hold her in my arms again. I can't do this anymore, I can't live my life without her. I got inside my car and drove to her house but she wasn't there. So I drove slowly down all the roads looking for any trace of her. The rain was pouring and my heart broke at the idea of her being out there alone.
As I pulled past the park my eyes snapped in the direction of the swings. I slammed on my breaks as I saw her. She was on one of the swings alone in the rain. My heart hammered inside my chest at the sight of her. I got out of the car and began running towards her. I was a few feet away when I stopped. My hear began to race as I saw her look up into the sky as the thunder rolled.

Her hair was wet and dripped all over the rest of her. She was soaked and I saw a small shiver escape her body.
"Stacey." I said barely a whisper. She twisted in the swing bringing her gaze over her shoulder to look at me. My heart leaped in my chest as I saw her face. I needed her in my arms, I couldn't stand to be away from her any longer. She stood up and faced me, her face filled with surprise and sorrow. I took two long strides to reach her. Cupping her cheeks with my hands I brought her face to mine and placed my lips on hers.

~Staceys pov~

His lips felt warm against mine. I felt my heart come back to life as he pressed his lips passionately against mine. One of his arms dropped to my waist and he pulled me against himself tightly. My hands ran up his chest until the reached his shoulders and then I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his face closer to mine. The kiss was needy, and full of emotion. I could feel his heart hammering in time with mine. He pulled away and looked me in the eyes. His deep eyes were filled with something I had never seen before.

"I love you, stacey." He said out of breath before he crashed his lips back down on mine again. I pulled away and rested my forehead on his trying to catch my breath.
"I love you too, Devin. I always have." I said as his blue eyes gazed deep into mine. He smiled so big and so did I. His lips were red and swollen from the passionate kiss we had just shared.
"I'm never letting you go again." He said, running a hand through my hair and my heart melted to the ground. I finely had what I wanted all along, Devin....... Devin...... nothing more matter, only him. His brown hair dripped with the water from the rain that continued to poor on us. This was officially the most important moment of my life.
His eyes dropped back down to my lips and I took that as my cue to kiss him again. His lips tasted so amazing! And this felt so right. Bolts of electricity shot through my body, I didn't feel cold in the rain any more. Shivers went down my body as his hand dropped to my neck, his touch felt tender and shot butterflies off in my stomach.
Thank you God, for answering my prayer. For caring so much about my broken heart, and for giving me such an amazing man.
I said in my heart as I continued to kiss Devin's soft lips.
He broke away from the kiss and pulled me into his chest tightly as he wrapped his arms around my small body tightly.
"Don't leave." He said as his voice cracked at the end.
"I'll never leave you again. I'm yours Devin, from now until the end of time. My heart is your forever." I said into his chest and I felt his grip tighten around me. He brought his hand to my face and tilted it up so he could look me in the eyes.
"I'm so sorry for hurting you before. I was stupid to let you go like that. But I will never make that mistake again. If you want me, I'm yours, and yours alone." He said his deep blue eyes became cloudy with tears.

"That's all I've ever wanted, Devin. It's always been you." I told him and he gave me a soft kiss before letting me bury my head in his chest again. Nothing felt so good as this moment, it couldn't be more perfect.

~Devin's pov~

Here she was, in my arms again and nothing had ever felt so right in my life. Her head lay safely in my chest as the rain poured from the sky. How could I have ever let her go in the first place? That didn't matter, all that matters is that she is here once again, and this time I'm not letting go. Her body shivered and I knew she had to be cold. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to my car. After I opened the door I placed her softly in the passenger side before I got into the drivers side. Pulling out i headed for her house. Her eyes were closed, and I knew she was probably about to fall asleep. I understood her tiredness, I haven't been able to sleep since that night and I felt my body starting to give out on me as well.

We arrived at her house and I got out and then got her out too. Again carrying her bridal style I walked to the front door and unlocked it with my key. I took her to her room and placed her in her bed and gave her a soft kiss before leaving to go to one of the guest rooms to collapse. My eyes had closed but I felt a sudden dip on one of the sides of the bed. I opened them to see Stacey crawling onto the bed next to me. She climbed into my arms and rested her head on my chest. Her eyes closed and I wrapped my arms around her and went to sleep.
