~Devin's POV~
The room was dimly lit by the light shown from the Tv. My eyes watched the screen as my hand moved gently up and down Staceys arm as she lay in my lap. She was so insistent on watching this, yet she fell asleep midway into it.
My eyes glanced down to her. She looked so peaceful, and so beautiful. How could someone try and do something to hurt her?
She had written down the description of the guy at the police station yesterday morning, and he sounded like a creep that should be wiped of the planet. I wish I could've been there to keep her safe, but I've stayed with her every night since, so the last two nights and this one will be the third.

She snuggled closer to me making me smile wildly. I miss having someone, I don't know why, but my relationships never seem to work out.
The thought of what Jackie said stirred in my mind. What did she mean when she said "she couldn't be in a relationship with a guy who could never give her all his love."? I just don't get it. Why would she believe I could never give her all my love?
I ran my fingers through her soft brown hair, and she let out a sigh. Suddenly I heard the back door in the kitchen open slowly. My eyes widened and I lifted Stacey off my lap, waking her up in the process.
"What's going on?" She grumbled.
"Shh. Someone's in the house." I said and her eyes went wide.
I motioned for her to head to for the front door and told her to grab her keys. I grabbed the 20 gauge I had in the corner of the room and walked over to the kitchen slowly. As I turned the corner into the dining room so I could see into the kitchen I sighed in relief and put the gun down and turned on safety.
"Stace it's just Bryan." I shouted into the living room before walking over and giving him a hug.
"Hey man it's been a while." I said pulling away.
"Yes it has." He replied looking down at the shotgun in my hand.

Stacey came into the kitchen and squealed.
"BRYAN!" She screamed in excitement as both us guys cupped our hands over our ears. She ran over and jumped on him, hugging him tightly.

"Hey there baby sis." He said giving her a squeeze before attempting to pull her off himself.
"I've missed you so much! What are you doing here?" She asked and he frowned.
"I got a call yesterday night from Devin telling me about what happened.... Why didn't you tell me?" He asked looking disappointed. She looked over to me glaring daggers.

"I just didn't want to cause you any worry before the wedding." She said trying to shrug off any guilt she had for not saying anything.
"Your my younger sister, You live alone 40 minutes away from me and hang out with this dork 24/7, I already worry." He laughed and she started to do the same.
"Oh funny Bri." I said, my voice full of sarcasm.
"Its my job to worry about you Stacey." Bryan said, his voice serious.

"Okay, I'm sorry. It won't happen again." She assured him.
"Good. Now what do you have to eat here?" He asked looking around the kitchen.
"I could shoot us something." I suggested as I smiled wildly.
"Not tonight." Stacey replied.
"You're no fun." I teased her, poking my tongue out and she did the same in response. I looked over to see Bryan smiling at us.
"What?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Nothing." He said even though I could tell there was something he wasn't telling me.
----------

My head laid on the pillow as my eyes were wide open. Images of Stacey were flashing through my mind and I couldnt get them to stop.
"This is pointless." I mumbled to myself as a got out of the bed and stood up.
I opened the door and walked out of the room into a dark hallway.
"I'm just gonna get something to drink and try to clear my head." I told my self before I rounded the corner and ran into a human wall.
"Whoa! Sorry!." I said my voice higher then normal due to the shock.
"Its cool, I didn't see you there either." Bryan responded back.
"What are you doing up?" He questioned as I walked past him into the kitchen.
"Couldn't get my mind to shut up." I said back to him. And he followed me into the kitchen.
"What did it want to talk to you about?" He asked smirking at his own sarcasm
"I just haven't been able to get the thoughts of how many failed relationship I've had out of my head, and I can't figure out what's wrong with me." I said giving him a half truth.
"What do you mean *what's wrong with you?*? He asked me and I shrugged.
"Something has to be wrong with me for all these girls not to care to be in a relationship with me." I responded mentally sighing
"No. You just haven't been in a relationship with the right girl yet." He said
"Or at least a real relationship." He said under his breath, but I couldn't hear all of it.
"What was that?" I asked
"You just haven't been looking where you should. There is a perfect girl for you out there, but you are to busy looking for her, that you are missing her." He said and I felt So confused.

"Okay, nothing you said made any sense." I told him and he smiled.
"You'll get it one day, my friend. And if you don't you're an idiot and I may just kill you myself." He said as he pat his hand on my back and walked out of the room.
"What the heck is he talking about?" I asked myself aloud.
