A/N: I am sorry it's taken me so long to update. I'm still not sure how much I like this chapter. Side note: I found this picture on Google. I do not want to copyright it or use it if the owner doesn't want it to be used. I just thought it would go well with this chapter. Now, without any further ado, I hope you enjoy this chapter.

"Swan!" he shouts, trying to break the line, but David holds him back.

"Killian, Killian, stop! That's an order."

He stops struggling, albeit unwillingly.

"She's going to get killed!"

"We don't know that."

"That look she gave me. She didn't care. She was willingly ready to die!" He shouts throwing his hands up in exasperation.

"Killian, I think your schoolboy crush is blinding you."

"Emma, please, listen to me. Don't give up. Please, don't give up," Killian says desperately through the earpiece.

I pay him no attention. I know it's breaking him, and honestly it hurts me too, but I can't dwell on it now. I've made my choice and I'm sticking with it.

Half an hour later and the line of officers watch as the hostages are released from the store. She'd done it. They all cheer. None of the hostages had gotten hurt, thanks to her. Killian and the others look around for Emma, but she's nowhere to be seen.

"Try the mic," David says. They're all getting antsy about the whole situation.

"Emma? Are you there?" Killian asks.

"Did you think you'd get away with a wire? If you want your blonde girl back, you're going to have to find her," a male voice says over the radio.

David and Killian share a worried look. This just got a hell of a lot worse. He gathers the rest of his crew together and plan to go in. They hear muffled voices through the mic.

"Alright, we go in pairs. Robin and Neal, you take the East entrance, Graham and Jeff take the North. Killian and I will take the West. A couple officers from the 16th precinct are taking the South," David tells the group.

"On it boss," Graham replies.

"Take your positions."

They all mark their spots and enter on his command. He was going to kill her when they found her.

"Tell them how much it hurts," a man says over the earpiece.

"You can go to hell!" She snaps back. A sickening snap follows.

"You bloody bitch!"

They wander through the store, carefully looking for any signs of life. Jeff and Graham take out two of the men.

"Two down on the North side," Graham says.

"Two down on the East side," Robin says right after.

"Alright, they're spread out. Be careful," David warns.

A gasp sounds over the mic. Killian clamps his mouth shut to keep from doing something stupid.

"That's better, isn't it," the man says.

"I'm not scared of you," Emma replies.

"Tough lass. I think we should teach this one some manners," he says, words laced with threats.

Killian moves in front of David. He needs to find her, alive. The two officers from the 16th precinct have taken out two others. That means there must be four with Emma.

I take in my surroundings. I know I'm still in Macy's, but I'm not sure where. Maybe around the loading dock? There are four men total with me, all still armed. I've managed to injure the main guy, who surprisingly enough turns out to be none other than Walsh Green, one of the major crime lords in the city. They've bound my wrists and my feet, but I'm still able to stand and move if need be. I know part of what their planning and I need to get out and warn everyone. I take my chance when Walsh and one of his followers move out of earshot and take out the two men guarding me. They didn't stand a chance. I cut my binds and cautiously walk towards the door that leads into the store. I quickly move into the store, but unfortunately for me, it wasn't unnoticed. I hear the door shut behind me and watch as both conscious men pass in front of me. When they are far enough away I release a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

Now it was a game of cat and mouse.

I knew Killian, David, and some others were currently inside as well so I just followed Walsh and one of his buddies since they had guns whereas I just had the knife in my boot. They must be stupid if they thought they'd get out of here without getting caught.

I follow them for several minutes before talking stops me. It sounded close, like, really close. Gunshots ring out and I duck, unsure of which direction the bullets flew. Gunshots retaliate and then silence.

"Officer down! I repeat, officer down!"

Funny, that sounded like David. A feeling of dread settles in my gut. I look carefully before heading over in the direction I heard him shout. All clear. Both Walsh and his friend were dead. I carefully skirt around the bodies and notice David and a couple others surrounding someone on the floor. I move around to where I can see and my heart stops.

Killian.
