Kakashi x OC Book one

Chapter 7

Sayuri's Pov:

I opened my eyes slowly to block out the light of the early morning..I looked to my side to see a sleeping Kakashi.. He had his mouth slightly open breaking softly, one of his arms was wrapped protectively around my waist while the other hand was flat on my lower back. I looked over when I heard the sound of a door opening and saw a nurse walking in quietly

"Oh your finally awake I see" She whispered loud enough for me to hear

"How long were we asleep?" I asked

"Both of you have been asleep for a day and a half.. Almost two days. A kind red headed lady told us that we should leave him with you because he hasn't slept well since you were admitted" She said and I smiled mentally thanking Kushina

"Thank you" I said softly

"I am supposed to run a few tests when you wake up but that might be a little difficult with him.. Attached to you... the most important test is to see how much of your body you can move. One of the kunai was lodged in your spine and it is possible that some part of your body may be permanently paralyzed" She said and I gaped at her for a moment.. I didn't feel weird but all I did when I woke up was move my arms and that was difficult I didn't even try to move my legs.

"So what do you want me to do.. My upper body moved fine yesterday" I said quietly still trying not to wake Kakashi

"Let's start with your hips.. Move them to the best of your ability" She said and I tried to move my hips. I was able to move them up and down and rotate them. I could feel Kakashi tighten his grip on me slightly and a small smile crept on my lips

"Okay good job now try your thighs" She said as she moved down my bed move the blanket so she could see. I tried to flex my thighs and after quite a bit of trying I stopped and shook my head sadly.

"Okay no need to worry. Try your calves" She said and once again I tried to flex my calf muscles but neither would respond to what I was telling them to do. I shook my head again.. What if I had to give up being a ninja...

"Don't give up yet. Try your toes" She said moving the blanket down more. I tried with all my might to move my toes and a bead of sweat actually came down my forehead when I finally got both of my big toes to twitch. After seeing them move I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding and the nurse smiled pulling the blanket back up

"That's great! You can move your toes which means that eventually you will regain feeling and control over your legs too" She said and I grinned

"Oh thank goodness" I muttered as I let out another long breath and I felt Kakashi hug me a bit tighter

"So you will need to come here every morning for physical therapy and healing until you are fully recovered. You can chose to stay here or go home but if you chose to go home you will need someone to be there with you for us to let that happen. That person will need to be able to stay with you most of the time" She said and I smiled glancing down at Kakashi

"I'll go home.. I don't particularly enjoy long stays here. He lives with me and I am almost certain that the HOkage has taken him off duty for the time being so he will be there" I said swiping a lock of Kakashi's hair out of his face

"Okay sounds good. I will be back in about an hour with your release forms" She said with a smile and walked out of the room. I leaned down and kissed Kakashi's forehead giggling softly

"I know you're awake, you have been since I started my little movement test. You always hug me a bit tighter when you wake up" I whispered against his hair
