Stryker

Jade's POV

I wake up in the infirmary alone. Aaron must of left as soon as he woke up, which is always a few hours before me. My arm aches but I peel off the sling and stand up, stretching my legs. My mind is blurry on the events of yesterday, and all that remains clear is a name and an action. Stryker killed my brother. "Jade?" Storm calls from the hallway, through the foggy glass I can see that she is close to the door, about to check up on me. Don't do it Jade. "Jade? Sweetie you okay?" Don't. There is anger inside of me that I can't control. I peek outside the room to see Storm picking up speed. I'm not responding and she knows something is wrong. "Jade?" Without a sound I hide behind the door and wait for Storm to walk inside. I push her forward and sprint down the hallway, leaving a shouting Storm behind me.

"I'm sorry." I jump off the top step and land on the gravel in front of the mansion. Logan told me about the island, and how Stryker was stricken to walk forever by Kayla, who died. Stryker was then arrested and put somewhere with a high federal ranking. The Pentagon perhaps? But how do I find out. A shadow passes over me and I look up to see Angel flying onto the roof. "Angel!" I wait a minute before realizing that soon people will be looking for me and that I don't have time for this so I start climbing the brick wall. My shoes grip the rough edges of the stone and I use the ivy as a rope. "Angel. H-He-" I grab the top of the wall and fall over onto my stomach, cutting me off from greeting him. "Hi!" I jump up and stop everything, because innocent Angel is standing completely shirtless infront of me, wearing nothing but tan cargo shorts.

"Hey Jade." He takes a step torward me and reaches out, taking my hand. "How can I help you." I raise an eyebrow at his gesture but ask anyway.

"Well I kinda have a favor to ask."

"Well-"

"And I'm not in the mood for a no." He nods, seeming to understand me.

"Alright." Angel says, dropping my hand. "What do you need." I walk over to the ledge and lean forward on my forearms, gazing over the property. How do I tell him I need his help to kill a guy. Most people I know would tell me I have a problem and report me. "Jade?" He leans forward and looks at me from the side with his wide green eyes.

"I need you to help me kill someone." Part of me wants Angel to say no, to refuse. He doesn't though.

"Who?" There is a look of concern in his eyes but it doesn't affect his tone. I chuckle softly and cross my arms.

"Not exactly the response I was expecting."

"Well what were you expecting?" He's leaning down so far that our eyes are leveled, and I don't like that.

"Normally people ask why I want to kill someone instead of who in particular... but it's fine."

"So this happens often?"

"If you mean do I want to kill people often then yeah." I pause and back myself up, "Do I? Not always." I flip my hair over my shoulder and smile so that he thinks I'm kidding. He laughs and nods, but I don't think he understands the situation. "But seriously Warren, I need your help." Angel looks off to the side and bites his lip before sticking out his hand, expecting me to shake it.

"Alright, but first," He grabs me by the waist and gives me a charming smile, "let me take you to lunch."

Angel's POV

I'm about to lift her up into the air but she claws at my shirt. "Angel wait, Angel ANGEL!" I drop her when I'm two feet off the ground and she stands back to her feet, pointing behind her. "I'm gonna take the stairs, meet you down there." I chuckle and extend my wings, flying down to the fountain. Jade is already sitting on the fountain and I pause. How the heck did she beat me down here. She adjusts something on her back and I notice the swords. It's just now hitting me that she is serious about this. "So where we going?" My wings fold behind me and I cross my arms.
