All of the sudden I know my life is doomed.
The man standing staring at me is my Father. As soon as my eyes lock with his I want to run. But it's to late for that because he's halfway over to me.
Once he's 2 feet away from me he grabs my arm and pulls my away.
" let me go" i say
" No, you gonna run off again." my father praticlly yells.
I look back at Lizzy who is just staring at me. Gosh, why can't she help me? Oh, well if I were her I would do the same. Once were out of the mall and almost to my dad's truck I stop walking. he jerks noticing i'm not moving. then his grip tightens around my wrist, he begins pulling.
" come on Jane stop fooling around and lets go"
" no, I don't want to. You don't even want me there, your happyire without me. " I say blankly. His eyes turn from rage to sorrow.
" that's not true."
"Oh, Right, your just saying that. If it is true then tell me why."
" because I'm lonely, I love you and Your my daughter."
" If you love me so much then why don't you let me go out? HUH?" I ask
" because I don't want to loose you like your mother, Now get into the truck."
I jump in obediently, still absorbing what he said. he doesn't want to loose me.
" look i'm sorry I don't let you out much but I cant bare the thought of you gone forever." He says starting the truck.
" well, your not going to loose me, I'm a teenager I go out then come back you know."
" I know I just don't want another accident." he says still with sorrow in his eyes. Were almost home when I say
" I am sorry I Left, I was mad and stuff. I went to the party then stayed the night at Lizzy's."
" I know I called Lizzy's mother looking for you. that's where I found out you would possibly ba at the mall."
"oh." I mumble
" fine, I'll let you out more but you have to promise not to be stupid and get hurt okay?"
" Okay i promise." I was so happy finally I would be able to be a normal teenager.
"oh and I have some plans on Sunday." I say while we arrive home.
" What plans?" Dad says turning off the car.
"um well, a friend is picking me up around seven to go out and do stuff." I say opening the truck door. As we step into the house Dad asks,
" is it Lizzy or someone i know?"
" um, No, this is a new friend." I say trying to avoid the point that its a guy. Dad would freak if he found out I was going on a date. He doesn't like the Idea of a boyfriend let alone a boy liking me. But the questions keep coming.
"so who is this new friend?" he asks
"Well... yeah." I say speeding up to my room.
" Jane? your hiding something." my dad state, walking up the stairs.
COme on Jane think of something. A girl named Sarah, yeah that's good. Dad walks into my room and stares at me.
" who's your new friend Jane?"
" He's a boy named Nathan I met at the party. I spilt my drink on him then he was sorry and took me for a dance then he asked me out and i said yes giving him my number and address so he's coming Sunday to take me on a date."I say every thing so fast I don't even know my dad Caught anything I said. Damn that's what I didn't want to happen but everything just sliped out.I give my dad 'I'm sorry' look but he doesn't accept it.
" Excuse Me, you did what? A boy? Nathan, Dance, Date, Sunday?" He says sounding mad and confused.
"yeah," Is all I say.
" Jane you know exactly how i feel about you and boys!" He says starting to raise his voice.
" I know but I'm sixteen, I've never had a boyfriend and I really like Nathan, a lot." I say trying to convince my father.
" and how old exactly is this Nathan?" He asks
" he's a senior and his homeroom is Mr. Jones. He goes to the same school but this the first time I met him. Please Dad let me go I really like him Please!!!" I ask He stops and thinks his expression not readable.
" no." he says
" please dad, This is the first time I've had feelings for a guy , please." I say stretching the "e" in please.
" on one condition," He says
" what?" I ask worried
" I get to meet him and then approve of him okay."
"What? All your going to d o is scare him away on purpose.' I say doubtfully.
" fine, dont go on a date then" he says
UHH. this is so not fair.
"fine." I say closing the door to my bedroom.
