Yes or No?

Chapter 8

As we drive Nathan starts a conversation.

" so how did you like your first date?" He asks

" I loved it the best first date anyone could ask for." I say smiling.

" was the fare fun? you didn't get to scared of the Farris wheel did you?"

" no, you were right holding your hand helped. Ant the fare was perfect I always wanted to go there." I say.

" I'm glad you had a good time." he says

" well its not  over yet, did my Dad say a certain time?" I ask wondering

" he said at ten you had to be home."

" oh," I say looking at the clock that reads 9:30. We stop at a fast food and we order a large fry and chocolate milk shake to share. As we drive we talk and eat. It would seem awkward sharing a drink on the first Date but it really isn't. We finish in time and I'm home at 9:50 before I get out I say,

" i had a really great time thank you so much."

" your welcome, I think this will work, Do you think we could meet up again sometime?"

"yes. of course I would love too." I say and right before I turn to get out Nathan kisses me. We smile at each other and I walk into my house and straight to my room. A mixture of exploding butterflies and sparks fly through my body. I'm so happy and wished the night never ended with Nathan.

I wake up and go down stairs to the kitchen. Dad is reading his newspaper and drinking coffee. I grab a beagle and join him at the table.

" so how was your first date Jane?"

" it went really well. I had a perfect time." I say

" did you eat?"

" yeah, some fries and a shake." I say while biting at my beagle.

"well good, So... do you like this boy?" he asks I think about this to make sure my decision is right. Of course I do.

" I do. a lot." I then get up and get ready for school.

  On the way to school I think about Nathan. I will try to look for him in school today. I'm excited about having a boyfriend.

I walk in and go straight to my locker. I find a little note slipped into it. It reds,

Hey Jane, I found out what locker was yours as you can see. But come look for me so we can hang out. And would you like to eat lunch with me? Yes or No? please respond.

My answer is yes and will aways be yes. Im glad he wants to hang out with me. Now all I need to do is find him.

I put my things inside my locker and grab my books. Then I go in search of Nathan. We have ten minuets before first class starts.

Hes not in the Commons so he must be by his locker. I stroll through the hallway looking to find him. I pass people putting there things away and I make sure they're not Nathan. I come down to the middle of the long hallway and find Nathan leaning against a locker, I assume is his.

He spots me and comes toarwed me.

" hey Jane, did you get my note?"

"yeah, that's why I was looking for you." I glance at the clock. six minuets before class.

"so whats your answer to my question?" he asks.

" Yes." He smiles and grabs my hand. We walk hand-in-hand down the hallway and to my class. He lets go and says,

" i'll see you at lunch." I smile and wave to him.

" bye and thank you for walking me to class."

I enter the class and sit down by Maria.

"hey Jane haven't seen you since the party." she says

" yeah I've been busy."

" with what?"

" oh just a guy. Nathan, I met him at the party and now were going out." I say proud and happy.

" Really? I'm so happy for you!" She says.

The bell rings and the teacher starts the lesson.

Waiting till lunch will be a while. There's four periods before lunch and the first one just ended.I walk to second period, witch is health and we talk about cells. I'm bored to death and end up tuneing the teacher out. then she calls on me,

" Jane?" she says.

" huh, what?"

" I said what type of cells protect your immune system?"

" Um, White cells?" I say knowing how easy that is.

" Yes. Now Nick what exactly do white cells do to protect?" She says. At least she didn't ask me that.

The bell rings and I go to my locker for my science book. I grab it and head to the class. This is the thired class, one more after this one then lunch.

sience is boring and lame. even the expeariments we do are boring. Today is an open book test. I go through the test and finish in thirty-five minuets. the next class is tech and it flies by. finally it's lunch and i'm anxious to get there. I think maybe Nathan will introduce me to his friends or maybe we'll sit alone together. Whatever it is i'm sure it will be perfect.
