Chapter 5

I flop down onto my bed face first. My dad is so unfair. I feel a tickling vibrate in my pocket.What the... oh my phone. I grab my phone and see I have a text message from Lizzy.

R u in big trouble? I text back.

No, I explained he wasnt too mad.

Does he know about the party?

Yeah and Nathan.

How did he react to that?

mad, confused and then we agreed that he has to meet him in order for me to go on the date.

Oh well thats cool he let u i guess. i gtg bye.

Well I guess Lizzy's right at least we worked something out. I toss my phone onto the pillow beside my and roll over. I hope Nathan will be willing to meet him and go through the awkwardness. I think. then my phone vibrates again. I thought you had to go Lizzy? I think while i pick my phone up to see the text.

Hey its Nathan R U still going with me on our date?

yeah, but my dad found out about that and said he had to meet u first. okay?

sounds fine 2 me. do you think he'll like me?

Yeah but he might do something to scare u away cause he doesnt like the fact of me dating

I think it will be cool.

Oh my gosh, Nathan texted me. I know it's stupid to be excited about it but I am. I cant wait 'till tomorrow.I wonder where were going? Maybe a restaurant or something.Oh well I don't care as long as it's with Nathan! I Lay back down on my bed and think of Nathan as  I fall asleep.

I'm in a meadow full of flowers with butterflies all around. It's beautiful and so warm. I'm waring a tank top and shorts. The meadow seems vaguely familiar. something from my childhood maybe. then suddenly the sky swirls and changes to dark purple. I turn my gaze to the ground that is slowly disipearing. I began to run, faster,faster. then I stop at a big oak tree. I look behind me to find Nathan pushing me up the tree saying" climb Jane now." I do as I'm told and he follows behind me. The the ground has disappeared completely and its just The tree, Nathan, and me. I wrap my arms around him, afraid of falling when suddenly he disappears to. then the tree begins to fade away until its gone. whats going on? I think then I fall and keep falling, non stop. suddenly Strong hands grasp me around the waist and hold me, to make sure I don't keep falling. I turn and find Nathan holding me tight.

I suddenly wake up. I'm sticky with sweat.My dream, It was so weird, how can something so beautiful turn to disaster, in just a quick glance? oh, well it was just a dream. I turn and look at the clock 9:42 AM. I then get up and take a shower.

Today is Sunday.I cant wait until 7:00. I get out and put on some jeans and a t-shirt. Then I go to my closet to pick something out for my date. I find a knee long white skirt then have trouble looking for a shirt to go with it. I settle with a blue shirt that has a few buttons at the top and a white under shirt. for shoes, I pick out  dark blue flats. I hope that will look all right.

I walk down stairs and find some break fast to eat. As i sit down at the table my father comes walking in.

"Good morning Jane." he says still in a sleepy voice.

" morning." I reply

"what Is today "  he asks.

" Sunday, May 30th" I say

"Sunday huh,that's the day I talk t Nathan right?"

"yes Dad." I say a bit annoyed.

 He grabs a cup of coffee and joins me at the table. but for the rest of my meal It's silent. I get up put my dishes in the sink and walk back  to my room. I grab and check my phone. Three new messages. the first two are from Lizzy.

 Hey,  Jane r u ready for your fist date??? :) and If u need me I'm at home all day k.

I text back quickly saying, Yes I'm ready and OK I'll call if I need anything. then I check my third text message.

It's Sunday, cant wait to see you! :) from Nathan.

He is so nice I think. then put my phone in my pocket and start cleaning around the house a bit. Just so It looks a little bit organized. I'm so happy the message from Nathan just Lit up my morning!
