Touchdown

Chapter XLVII

Brayden and Sammmie went down to get something to eat for the four of us while I stayed up with Axel.

"Ambrie, While I was in a coma, I heard you distantly reading something. What was it?"

I shifted a little. "It was a book called "Criss Cross". When I was in the hospital once, my aunt came and read me a part of it every day."

He smiled. "Honestly, hearing your voice motivated me to get better."

I smiled and blushed. "I thought you would have forgotten about me."

Axel looked at me with Caring eyes. "I would never forget about you. You will always be in my heart and by my side."

I smiled a little. we then heard a knock on the door.

I looked at the doorway along with Axel to see Nolan standing there.

I glared a little at Nolan but stopped when I saw Axel tense up.

"Hello Axel. Hello sexy lady." I saw Axel go red of anger so I put a hand on his arm to keep him calm.

Nolan sat down on the chair that was in the room. "I know I have been acting like an asshole recently, but I wanted to make amends,"

I sighed and glared at him again. "You traumatized me. I will never get that out of my head."

He sighed. "I know and I am sorry. I thought that if I could get to you, I could be closer to Sammie considering you two are sisters."

I ran my hand through my hair. "You could have just asked to hang out. You did not need to go crazy and Sexually Assult me."

Axelglared at him also. "I told you at the dance that if you layed a finger on her, you were dead. I kept my promise."

Nolan sighed and looked ashamed. "I know and I am sorry. I was mad at the world and I was mad that all of you forced me to be with Brittney."

I heard the beeping of the niter connected to Axel raise. I kissed his forehead to keep his heart rate from getting too high.

Nolan continued. "Ambrie, You are so nice and I thought I could ruin your relationship by making Axel think you were cheating on him with me."

I let out a low growl. "You wanted to hurt him by hurting me?"

He nodded his head. "You struggled too much so I had to hurt you to get you to stop."

Just then Sammie and Brayden walked into the room with lunch. "Here is Ambrie's salad, Brayden's cheeseburger, Axel's cheeseburger and-"

Sammie stared at Nolan. "What the hell are you doing here?"

He shrugged. "Making Amends to what I did. I miss hanging out with you guys and I wanted the old gang to get back together."

I sighed. "Fine but this is your last shot. You screw this up and you are gone."

Everyone looked at me. Sammiewas the first to speak. "Ambrie, He literally Sexually Assulted you and came close to repeing youandyet youare forgiving him?"

I rolled my eyes. "I am keeping my guard up but I am going to keep it down around the people I care about."

Axel looked at me. "Are you sure babe? Sammie does have a strong point."

I cleared my throat. "Yes. I might have a short fuse though."

Brayden spoke. "Honestly, I am with Ambrie. I will give him a chance. He never hurt me so I do not mind."

Sammie squirmed a tiny bit. "Fine, But I am with Ambrie, I am keeping my guard up."

Everyone turned to Axel, "If Ambrie is giving him a last chance, I will too."

Nolan gave a genuine smile. Not one that was evil or sly. "Thank you so much."

Nolan then looked at Axel. "How are you feeling by the way?"

Axel shrugged. "Better for the most part."

Nolan looked at me. "I am guessing that you had it the hardest out of everyone here?"

I shrugged. "I visited him every day. Just seeing Axel's face was enough to make me feel safe."

Sammie looked at the time. "We better get going. Ther aracade will not play itself."

I laughed. Brayden, Sammie and Nolan all went to leave for the aracade leaving Axel and I alone.

I looked at him. "Oh how I missed this." I then kissed him and did not pull away.

Axel did not either. We pulled each other closer and deepened the kiss.

Axel's tounge entertained with mine. It felt as if time stood still and we were the only two people in the world.

I ran my fingers through his hair as he did the same to me. I loved him being close to me. I felt like Buttercup when she was around Wesley in "The Princess Bride".

I heard Axel let out a small sigh which made me smile. We sat there for a few more minutes. I loved him with all of my heart and nothing was going to keep us from breaking apart. I smiled and saw Axel grinning too.

The woman came in and told me visiting hours were over. I kissed Axel goodbye and left the room.

I got home and the group chat was started up again:

Nolan: Looks like the group chat is restarted

Me: I guess so

Nolan: Where were you. I thought you would show up at the aracade with Sammie, Brayden and I?

Axel: I wanted to see what happened while I was in a coma so Ambrie explained.

Nolan: Makes sence. Did you stay till visiting hours were over?

Me: Yes. I could not help it

Axel: Neiither could I. I wanted to see her pretty face again.

Nolan: What are you guys doing? Ambrie, you are staying all day at the hospital and you are allowing her to stay all day at the hospital.

Me: I enjoy seeing Axel just like you enjoy seeing Sammie.

Axel: Yeah. I enjoy hearing and seeing Ambrie. She is the reason I fight to survive especially when I was in the coma.

Nolan: Mind you that I visited you and so did Sammie and Brayden!

Axel: Yeah, but Ambrie stayed for hours on end sitting there with me either in silence, rambling about her day, or reading that one book. She took the time to be non-self centered and be with me every day.

Me: I would not have been able to carry on another day of you never survived. I would have been devastated.

Nolan: Ok I know you guys are a couple but I am a single man here! I love Sammie and I want her back, but I feel like she likes Brayden better.

Axel: Well, You did Cheat on her.

Me: Exactly. She can be with who she wants to be. Do not be stupid and pressure her. She should be happy.

Nolan: Fine. I will let her pick who she wants and I will accept it.

Axel: Ok. I am going to get some sleep. They might release me from here tomorrow.

Me: Amazing!! See you tomorrow

Nolan: Bye guys.
