Touchdown

Chapter XXXVII

Sammie and I were rushing to get ready. Brayden and Axel were going to meet us at the dance and we only had 5 minutes to finish getting ready.

Sammie was in her red dress and I was in my white one. Sammie wanted to do my makeup which I knew would take a full 10minutes so I declined and did the makeup myself.

Sammie was full on in the Christmas spirit because she was singing Christmas carols and she was grinning from ear to ear. By the time we got out the door, it was 7:00.

We got to where the dance was taking place and heard Christmas music automatically as we entered. "Rockin around the christmas tree" was playing when we saw everyone dancing. It was a room full of red, blue, green, and black.

We saw Brayden, Axel, and Nolan all having a conversation when we came. Nolan was the first to notice. "Hello Ambrie, Hello m'lady." Sammie scoffed and rolled her eyes. "In your dreams." Nolan smirked.

"You are always in my dreams, and did you fall from heaven because you are an angel." Sammie glared and pushed him away in a non-playful way.

I let out a small laugh which earned me a glare from both Nolan and Sammie." I looked at Brayden and Axel who were both focused on Sammie and Nolan's bickering like I was.

After listening them bicker for awhile, Axel and I started up a conversation. "You look really nice tonight." I blushed a little. "So do you." Axel offered me his hand. "May I have this dance?" I gave a slight nod.

We danced to "All I want for Christmas is you" By Mariah Carrie, "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby, and "Baby it's cold outside" by Idena Menzel. Nolan and Sammie were both bickering still by the time we got back. I whispered to Brayden "How long have they been argueing for?" He shrugged.

"Probably since you guys left to dance." I sighed and got both Nolan and Sammie's attention. "You guys bicker like an old married couple. You know that right?" They glared at me again and continue arguing. Axel gave Brayden advice. "I think you should take Sammie away and dance with her."

Brayden shrugged. "That is a good idea. Maybe that will calm her down." Brayden then took Sammie's hand and pulled her onto the dance floor.

Nolan sighed. "You guys were right. She still hates me or has at least moved on." I sighed, "Axel and I were dancing for at least 9-15 minutes and you have been bickering since then. Now you just notice that?"

Nolan looked Ashamed. "I guess I was hoping to bring up that I still liked her. Unless..." Nolan smiled at me slyly. "I gasped. No way in the history of America will I ever date or be in love with you!" Axel stood in front of me protectively.

"Nolan, you will not lay a finger on her or any hands." I heard him say quieter to Nolan though "If I see you touch her in any way that is not a hug or a handshake, You are dead meat. Got that?" Fear entered Nolan's eyes. "Ok ok fine, I will not lay a finger or a hand on her."

Brayden and Sammie came back. I heard Sammie let out a small growl and glare at Nolan but I may of seen a flash of care in her eyes.

We all looked at each other for awhile. Nolan broke the silence. "I do need your guys's help on finding a way to get out of this relationship with Brittney."

We all groaned. Brayden talked first. "We all know you made a mistake but we also all know you were already a terrible person to break up with Sammie for one small reason." Everyone shrugged including me.

Axel looked into Nolan's eyes deeply with many emotions. "You could always do what you do best and cheat on her with some other girl. Worst case scenario you pay her to help out."

Nolan glared at Axel. "Thanks for the tip but I am not a cheater on my girlfriends." Sammie coughed t
And folded her arms while she stared down Nolan.

"You cheated on me remember? You cheated on me TWICE actually." Nolan sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine, I do cheat on girls sometimes but that was twice. Ok?"

Sammie sighed and rolled her eyes. It was my turn to suggest an idea.

"As much as I do not condone the idea of you cheating on Brittney even though I hate her, you could probably text a different girl and talk romantically and if she asks you to see your phone, pull up the chat so she could see it and she will want to look through the chats. If it is bad enough, she will break up with you instead of you breaking up with her."

Everyone looked at me wide-eyed and jaws dropped. Nolan spoke. "How do you know that could work?"

I shrugged." "The office" on Netflix gave me the idea. Angela was with Dwight when Andy called and instead of calling, you replace it with texting."

Axel looked at me with a smile but still wide-eyes. "You watch "The office"?" I shrugged. "Eh, every one and awhile I will. It is not something I would do on a normal day basis."

Sammie mumbled, "You guys really are meant for each other." I laughed a little and blushed. Nolan recovered.

"I guess I will try Ambrie's idea even though she does not "Condone" me breaking up with Brittney, I will still try."

I groaned and decided to get something to eat as an excuse to get away from the drama. While I was gone, the others talked.

Nolan directed his attention to Axel. "From constant observation, I can see you are getting close to Ambrie eh?" Axel let out a mix of a growl and a sigh. Nolan smirked. "Lets say hypothetically I put on the charm and win Ambrie's heart. What would you do to stop me?"

Axel had anger in his eyes as Sammie and Brayden both stepped back. "I know Ambrie does not like you in that matter so I am not going to worry."

Nolan laughed. "Lets test it shall we? See who she has feelings for." With that said, Nolan made his way to the food table to find me.
