(Nita's POV)

As I was being dragged, I decided to look around and saw prison cells then it hit me. I was in the police department. But why was I here? Did I do something wrong? The little girl seemed to notice my questioning look and asked, "What's the matter?" I looked back at her and said, "Why are we at the police department?" She shrugged her shoulders and showing she didn't know. I sighed then I continued looking around. They were all...starring at me. The prisoners, I mean. They all had a confused, yet, angry look on their faces. Then the man and I went through a door and I was sat down on a chair in what looked like a waiting room. I looked up and saw the police officer that was dragging me here and he had a look of pure hatred in his eyes as he said, "Don't leave this chair until your parents come and get you. Got it, kid?" I just gave him a quick nod and he left. When he left I took a look around the room I was in and everybody was staring at me with what looked like a glare full of hatred, just like the officer did. I just shrunk down in my seat. "Why are they looking at me like that? What did I do wrong?" I croaked out. I looked over at the girl and she just glared at the people around me and she looked like she was trying to guard me. When she saw me looking at her, she smiled at me and said, "What? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." I looked at her and asked again. "Hmmm...I don't know, maybe they don't like kids?" She said with a nervous chuckle. I just looked at her, confused, and then said, "Maybe." Then I heard a bell. Like the bells that they have on the door in a gas station store. Then I was suddenly embraced with a large, suffocating hug and I was lifted up and turned around to see the teary face of a woman. It took me a moment but then I recognized her, she was my mom. I looked behind her to see my dad, that also had tears streaming down his face. He came running and gave me a hug as well. I was dumbfounded at first but, then hugged them back. I almost completely forgot about them because I've been with strangers for a while, but now they're here and I can go back home. But then I remembered the little girl. I looked behind me and she was sitting in the chair just staring up at us hugging. When she noticed me staring, she just smiled. I gave her a pleading look and held out a hand and she took it. I pulled her up and told her that she could live with us. She just stared at me in shock then smiled and cried while hugged me back. "Thank you," she said in a whisper. Then all 4 of us went home.
