It began when the bullet shattered the window.

You were relaxing in the computer room when you felt it. That familiar tingle. The chill down your spine. With a shock, you realized that you hadn't said anything to the Talon team in two days. Not so much as a lie.

The two-day time limit was up. They were going to tear this base apart to get what they wanted.

You stood up to go warn the others, but you were knocked down from the bullet. Fighting through the pain, you moved towards the stairs, went down to your quarters, and recovered your Overwatch battle armor. Grabbing a laser shotgun and a combat baton, you heard explosions and gunfire from below. You hurried down the stairs - since the elevator was sure to be the most unsafe place to be right now - and opened the door to the hangar.

The hangar door was blown open, and Talon grunts were dueling with Overwatch agents. The Overwatch agents were outnumbered, but they fought hard nonetheless. You could see Angela patching up wounded agents, Genji and Lena charging right into the battle, and Winston defending the others.

You dove right into the battle, knocking one mook aside with your baton and wading through the battlefield. You quickly ran over to Winston and Angela.

"Y/n!" Angela yelled over the commotion. "It is about time you showed up!"

"Sorry, I overslept!" you quipped. "Where's the high command!"

Winston pointed up to a nearby mesa. There was the plane you originally arrived in, and you could see a shape firing a gun. You realized that might be Amelie.

Black mist began to seep in from nearby, and you saw that mist slowly coalesce into Reaper. He began taking out soldiers left and right, making a beeline straight for Genji and Lena.

A gunshot roared right above you, and you ducked. Amelie was trying to pick you off.

"I have to get up there!" You decided. Winston tossed you something. "What are these?" you asked.

"Rocket boots," Winston proudly replied. "They're still prototypes, but they work."

"Thanks, big guy!" You gave him a pat.

"Go get them, Y/n!" Angela said.

You charged right into the battle, knocking Talon goons down along the way. Once you were outside of the building, you activated the boots and began to lift into the air. You were just about to deactivate them when a bullet clipped one, causing you to spiral out of control. You still landed on the mesa, luckily.

Dust was flying all around. Not so much that you couldn't see anything, but enough that it was a bit hard to tell what was around you. You saw the red lights of the Talon plane, which was lifting off, creating the dust storm.

You pulled out your laser shotgun and cocked it, beginning to advance in the direction of the red lights.

As you approached, Amelie would sneak up behind you and give you a hard punch to the back. You stumbled, but didn't fall. The laser shotgun fell to the ground.
