I knock on his door feeling happier than I've ever been. I'm in new clothes that I got from my mom and I'm about to see my boyfriend. I wonder what he'll say about my outfit.

The door opens and I smile. Flynn is at the door with his bag over his shoulder looking back into his house. I watch casually as he listens to someone in the house.

"No, Mom it isn't the delivery guy. It's seven in the morning!" He screams and I chuckle to myself. Flynn turns around at my laugh and smiles at me. "It's Lily! I have to go!"

"We have forty minutes you don't have-"

"No. I want to leave," he tells me closing the door quickly behind him.

"Do you want to go to the coffee shop near the school?" I ask as we walk away from the front door.

"Yeah sure but first," Flynn starts quickly pushing me against my car. His lips hit mine and I kiss back instantly. He pulls away after a second smiling down at me, "you look cute today."

"Really because with this black jacket and sunglasses I was going for super edgy chick who pretends she doesn't have feelings but watches rom coms every weekend," I tell him and he chuckles.

"Good 'cause I lied," he informs me looking me up and down one more time, "you look super hot."

"How romantic," I joke pushing him away from me so I can get into my car. "We have to go or there won't be any of the croissants I like left."

"Oh no we should go then," he tells me rushing into the car too.

I start my car and the music starts blaring old pop music. I blush quickly turning it down. He starts laughing turning it back up. I sing along with him for the whole ride.

I don't know why I was so worried about dating Flynn. Nothing has really changed between us and it's not awkward or uncomfortable. It's perfect.

It wasn't until I got to school that I realized why I was so scared. When I parked my car I didn't get out of it. Flynn looked at me like I was crazy and I probably am.

"How does she even have them as friends? She is nothing compared to him?" Someone whispers as I walk by.

I shake it off and walk over to Calvin. He smiles at me and I smile back but it's not real. I can hear what everyone is saying about me as he starts walking to class with me.

Some girl actually walks past us and bumps into me. The worst thing is when I drop my stuff instead of helping me Calvin starts flirting with the person that hit me. My heart drops at the sight but I don't do anything about it.

"Lily? What's wrong?" He asks getting back into the car.

"Can- can we not tell anyone about us yet?" I ask my heart racing as I look up at him.

"Sure, but can I ask why?" He asks and I shrug.

"It's just scary to me," I admit, "everyone is going to hate me."

"Why?" Flynn asks looking completely confused.

"Because you're like one of the hottest guys in school and I'm like a solid four on good days," I confess, "how are people going to react to that? A lot of people like you. I see it everywhere. Flynn you get hit on so much."

"Why does it matter if a bunch of idiots don't like you?" He asks me, "if they actually cared about me they should be happy I found you. I like you a lot. I won't fall for their flirtiness because I'm stuck falling for you."
