I walked to my car with Flynn by my side talking about something he heard about. I'm not listening 100% but I think there was a fight or something close to that. I don't really care for school fights. Flynn wraps his arms around me suddenly pulling me closer to him making my breathing hitch in surprise.
"Picture it," he instructs stretching his hands out in front of him, "Todd's right here completely slapping this guy over here and then guess who comes in?"
"Who?" I ask kind of interested.
"Freaking Calvin," he says and my heart stops for a second but I pretend nothing is wrong and listen on, "and he gets socked right in the nose by Todd's elbow."
"Wow," I giggle actually a little happy he told me, "I feel bad for Todd's elbow."
"I feel bad for the janitor," Flynn says, "his nose blood got everywhere."
"Is that why part of the ATC hall was closed off?" I ask finally getting to my car.
"Pretty much," he chuckles stopping at the driver's side of my car. "Before you go off to make some coffees for basic people do you think we could talk later?"
"Oh," I start actually having to contemplate it. I have a lot of homework to do tonight, but I need to ask him about seeing Reed with me at some point. I keep procrastinating and it's not good. Mom is getting really annoyed. I guess I can do homework another night this weekend, "Sure, but only for a bit. I have to ask you something too."
"Oooo mysterious," he jokes wiggling his eyebrows to make me laugh. It works.
"Shut up," I smile punching his shoulder a bit, "I'll see you after work."
"At the waterfall?" He asks to clarify.
"Always," I assure him unlocking my car. "Bye, Flynn."
"Bye, Flower," he says giving me a small smile as he walks away.
I wave getting into my car carefully. Last time, I talked to Flynn like this I hit my head on the handle right in front of him. It was pretty embarrassing. He snickered a bit but asked me if I was okay anyways. He cares in his own way and that's all that matters.
I watch him walk over to Athena's car where she's waiting before driving off. Usually, I'd drive him home but they've been scheduling me for a lot of after school hours lately. I don't mind it. Don't get me wrong. I like my job. I'd just be nice to hang out with some of the only friends I have more than just Saturday nights when I help Flynn with his homework.
To clarify, I was asked by some of Flynn's other teachers to help him out in the classes. They saw the progress in math and thought it'd be a good decision. It seems like I'm taking on a lot with college prep and everything else in school but any reason to hang out with Flynn for a bit is okay with me.

My shift was almost done and by that I mean I literally had five minutes left. I would've left and avoided everything but I didn't know. I had to be in the wrong place at the right time. Calvin came up in line and I almost gasped. I thought I told him to stay away from me.
"I didn't know you worked here," he says quickly actually turning around to leave.
I'm stuck shocked for a good second before I process everything. Calvin is actually listening to me. He's leaving me be. Who is this guy? And I thought he got hit in the nose. Where's his bruise? Maybe, it wasn't as hard as I wished it was.
"Wait," I call hesitantly and he turns around with a little bit of hope in his eyes, "I'm not allowed to turn down customers."
"I seriously can get this later," he argues seeing as no one else was here.
