Chapter 7- heart to heart with Harry

I woke up to no Hermione and no Ginny in the dormitory, they never liked to wake me as they complained I was to moody in the mornings when awoken and would start throwing things at them, that was only one time. I quickly got changed and went downstairs ready to leave for the great hall for a quick breakfast. As I made my way into the common room, there sitting on a chair with a book in his hand was Harry, I sat down in the chair opposite him.

“is your hand getting better?” I asked him as he looked up. He looked down at his hand the writing on his hand was still visible but a yellow kind of bruise had started taking place around it.

“it feels better.” he told me.

“did it hurt?” I asked him.

“a little, but it was more like a sort of sting rather than a pain really.”

“she shouldn't be allowed to do that Harry, it's not the usual form of discipline which should be used by professors.”

“I think it is her own sort of punishment she likes to use.”

“can't you tell Dumbledore Harry, even if he has been keeping his distance surely Dumbledore wouldn't stand for this sort of punishment within his school.”

“Dumbledore has enough to worry about.”

“what do you mean?” I asked him.

“the ministry is watching the school, you know Umbridge was at my hearing, she voted for me being expelled.”

“she must have a hate for you Harry, to vote against you returning and then doing this, I don't know what would be worse.”

“I think she's scared that someone will believe what I said I think all of them are, the ministry I mean.”

“well I believe you Harry, how could I not?” he smiled up at me.

“thank you.” he told me.

“but i'm not the only one Harry we all believe you all your friends, the weasleys, the order we all do, you need to remember that Harry.”

“i know, and i'm sorry.” he told me.

“sorry what for?”

“if I hadn't agreed with Cedric to both grab the portkey and return then he wouldn't have died, he would have been taken when I grabbed the portkey and he would have returned to the grounds....” I stopped him before he could continue.

“Harry it's not your fault, if there is one thing I know about Cedric it is that I know he wouldn't have given up he would have fought to get that portkey because he would have wanted to win, don't blame yourself Harry.”

“i know but....”

“Harry there are no buts it's not your fault so please stop blaming yourself, Cedric he wouldn't want you to.”

“you know when I was in the graveyard and I was fighting Voldemort, I saw my mam and my dad but I also so Cedric and he asked me to take his body back to his family, sometimes I think I was just imagining it.”

“you probably did see him Harry, Cedric would know his father would go out of his mind if he didn't get closure by burying his son.”

“how is Amos?” Harry asked me.

“i wouldn't know.” I told him truthfully. “I haven't seen uncle Amos since the day of Cedric's funeral, neither have my parents he just shut himself away no matter how much we tried to help him. It's understandable Cedric was his only son, his only family besides us that he had left.”

“i'm sorry.” I laughed even though it wasn't the time to. “what?” he asked me looking at me confused.

“if I hear you say sorry one more time I will paralyse your body so that you wont be able to say it for a few hours.” at this Harry laughed.

“come on we better get going to the great hall, wouldn't want to miss breakfast.”

we made it to the great hall with time to spare for breakfast, as I walked in with Harry I saw Draco look at me and scowl, probably wondering why I was with Harry. Harry and I made our way over to Hermione and Ron and sat down I looked around for Ginny and saw her sitting with Katie Bell I waved at her so she knew I was there and turned to Hermione.

“i agree with you.” she looked at me confused.

“i don't know what you're talking about Amanda.”

“i agree that we should do something about Umbridge, the only thing we need to do is persuade Harry.”

“i agree with you, he doesn't seem very enthusiastic about doing something, I mean we aren't getting anywhere in Umbridge's lessons she won' even let us practice.”

“speaking of Umbridge we have her today for defence against the dark arts.”

“i wonder what she is going to teach us today.”
