Chapter 15- I found it

The next day I woke up pretty late, god I must have needed to sleep, I haven't been getting that much sleep recently. I got up and got dressed and went down to the common room. I found Ginny sitting in a corner near the window and went over to join her in the seat oposite her.

“what's troubling you?” I asked her as she turned to me.

“one of Umbridge's new rules are that all group activities are have been banned until further notice.

“seriously?” I said as I looked at her. “is this women ever going to give up trying to ruin everyone's lives, I mean that is all she is doing.”

“it's because of yesterday.” Ginny said. “i mean she sees us all together and then she bans group activities.”

“she must think we are up to something.” I told her.

“but we are up to something.” she said as Neville came running it.

“i found it.” he said as he ran over to us. “i found it.” he said as he stood next to Ginny and I and crouched down to our height level.

“what did you find?” I asked him.

“the room of requirement which you were on about, I was thinking about trying to find a place for you know what and this door just opened up from the wall I was wlking past.” I smiled and looked at him.

“Neville you are a genius, we need to find the rest and tell them.” I said as we stood up and made our way to find Harry, Hermione and Ron to tell them first.

We had told Ron, Harry and Hermione and they had gathered the rest. We were standing next to the wall which Neville had said the door had appeared at. I started thinking about finding a place to train and looked at the wall, waiting for something to happen. Out of nowhere a door had appeared an we all walked through it. The place inside was spacious and empty apart from a metal figure in the middle which was holding a wand, we all looked to Harry.

“it's perfect.” he said. “it's like Hogwarts wants us to fight back.”

We had now started to talk about when we should meet.

“we should meet on Saturdays.” I said. “we will have no lessons that day and can train for a few hours.”

“i agree with Amanda.” Hermione said. “but we should also train during the week a couple of days as well, like on a Tuesday and a Thursday, then we have enough time in the week and on Sunday to be able to carry out our school activities like homework.” I smiled at this, trust Hermione to think of homework.

“that's a good idea.” Harry said. “so see you all on Tuesday for our first training.” he said as everyone stood up. “be careful of Umbridge.” he added. “she might suspect something.” he said as people started leaving the room in small groups.

It had been a few weeks since we had started training within the room of requirement, and a lot had happened. Harry had taught us various defensive spells already and we were really strengthening our skills. We had learned things like expelliarmus and expecto patronum. My creature was a owl, it fit perfectly I mean there wasn't anyone other than Emerald that could understand me as best she could and what better way then to have an owl as my patronum.

As for Umbridge she had upped her antics as well. I mean she had created something called an inquisitorial squad which Draco had joined. They were practically her little lap dogs following her every order. If Draco wanted to drive a wedge between us even more he couldn't have done a better job if he tried. Filch had also been following us and he had took to stationing himself outside of the room of requirement waiting to catch us in the act. It was pretty cool that the room of requirement did what you needed otherwise we wouldn't have been able to create a back door to get out of while Filch waited staring at the blank wall. It was now nearly time for Christmas break and we had just finished our last lesson with Harry before the holiday.

“keep practising, and we will see you all after the holidays.” Harry said as we all disbanded, I was walking out with Ginny when I turned to see Harry and Cho were the only people left in the room, Ron went to call back but I grabbed him.

“he will catch up.” I told him as we walked out and towards the common room.

“have you got your mom anything for Christmas?” Ginny asked me.

“yeah I got her a little gold bracelet for her.” I told her. “i can't wait to get home and see her, I haven't got any owls off her recently.” It was true as well, it had been a while since my mom had sent me an owl and I just really wanted to see her. After dad disappeared she's the only family I had apart from uncle Amos but he didn't really leave his home anymore.

“it will be good to see everyone.” Ginny said.

“and get away from here, I mean hogwarts is like everyone's home but Umbridge is killing it for everyone. It's like a prison with her practically in charge.”

Ginny agreed with me on that one.
