My Heart

Blank, that's how I feel.
In tact, though not real.

Numb, it's kinda the same,
Though considered to not be sane.

Sticks and stones, they hurt so bad,
But your words leave me much more than sad.

Your cruel words cause me to pierce my skin,
And the threats you say tell me you win.

It's not a physical war, but an emotional battle.
Cause my heart to feel pain, more than a rattle.

I would tell you how I feel but my pain can't be described,
And the throbs of my heart prove I have not lied.

You are distant, but not far away
And my heart screams the words my mouth cannot say.

As the gravity of reality comes crashing down,
The distance we bare causes me to frown.

I wish to hold you in my arms and never let go,
But you belong to another, this much I know.
