Two minds, in one body
We're always together, my love
Being with you is so lovely
My heart soars above
To others our personalities may clash
A hurricane colliding with a volcano
But in our heart we hold a true stash
To help each other, only we may know
Though surrounded by many that have seen is grow
And such strong bonds like steel chains
It's truly only us that we know
To share everything, including our pains
We came to know two different worlds
But when we're together you're the only I desire
Doing the dance of life, put through whirls
You ARE my world, my whole entire
Though our emotions rarely cause us to separate
These times are the ones I dread the most
While all my happiness seems to dissipate
My heart will stand still, at post
We've been alive for thousands of years
But I can't imagine spending a second apart
Without you by my side, I'll be in tears
For you, my love, shall forever hold my heart
This poem was inspired by a Steven Universe character known as Garnet. She's pretty awesome, and is one of my favorite characters. :3
