Depression

Just a warning, I made this one YEARS ago. This is actually the first poem I've ever made.

A shout, a cry,
Within the sky.

Upon a sea,
Something no one may see.

A pool of tears,
That held all the fears.

And a smile that hides
All the emotions inside.

A forest of pain,
That flourished with rain.

Of the tears of the hurt,
Where the shadows may lurk.

All the pain was hid,
For who could they kid?

Why would anyone of cared,
Why they were all scared?

They had not been loved,
For everyone else was above.

So they hid their scars,
And smiled upon the stars.

They hid from them all, for they feared rejection,
Because the one thing they wanted, was true affection.

Behind that smile was pain and hurt,
And behind that laugh was no one to be heard.

They cried at night,
Because nothing was right.

For behind that false expression,
Held the pain of depression.
