Moon's glow and stardust
Set my restless soul to sleep
I feel my heart may combust
I simply cannot count sheepDaytime, its a curse to be awake
The sun hurts my eyes
My form can't help but shake
From my bed, I won't riseMy arms shiver and ache
I fear my legs may fail me
My body's own personal earthquake
And my heart ushers me to fleeWhere is my bed of moonlight?
Surround me in chirping crickets
My mind may continue to fight
Through these thorns and ticketsThat surround my heart and home
Protected, I still don't feel alright
Under the stars, I can't feel alone
Now I'll lie down, goodnight
