Opposing Sides

They sat there grinning,
As though they hadn't been sining.

Thinking of ways,
To turn a smile to haze.

They were known by all,
Popular, not at all small.

They strut down the hall,
Looking for one person of all.

A small, shy anxious girl,
Who they'd take for a whirl.

Their egos so big and flared,
No similarities were shared.

These two sides,
One true, the other filled with lies.

One side would dominate and rule,
While the other was soft and true.

Some went without a care in the world,
While others withered with feared, curled.
