Heavy rain lashed at the window as Matt powered on his phone. Loading a cd into his stereo, Rage Against The Machine blasted out the speakers, echoing through his empty house. He lay on his bed and drew his knees into his chest, gazing at the flickering screen again. Matt's parents had left him alone as they went for a day out, meaning he could do pretty much anything he wanted. Scratching his nose out of boredom, he flipped the phone about in his hands and wondered what there was he could do to entertain himself.
He decided he would try to make some new friends. It wasn't as if Matt had many friends anyway, the only friends he had were Tom and Chris. But as it was the holidays and they were away with family, he literally had no one here back home. Matt logged onto his instagram (Tom created it for him to make new friends, and to talk to him and Chris) and to his greatest surprise, he had gained 7 followers already. Thinking hard of what to post, he decided he should at least introduce himself. Trying to take a quick selfie, he filtered it and filled out the caption.
