Final Votes

Just like semi-finals, all ten acts were lined up on stage under spotlights. 

Once again Ant and Dec stood in front of us, doing their announcement about the final votes and how they felt the show went. They made jokes, but none of us acts on stage laughed as we were to nervous. 

All of us had worked hard to get to this night. Even if we didn't win, our lives would be changed forever by the experience.

Ant and Dec began the final results by announcing the tenth place. We held our breath as each place was announced and each spotlight was turned off. 

As it closer to the top three we were so nervous we didn't know where to look so we kept looking at each other and the floor.

Once third place was announced and it wasn't our group, we looked at each other with excitement. We were in the top two. We had a chance to win.

Ant and Dec called our group and little Issy forward for the announcement of the winner. 

Tension music played as we stood there, waiting. We smiled at Issy and she smiled back. 

"And the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2018 is..." Ant began and looked toward all of us.

"Issy Simpson!" Dec exclaimed. 

Golden confetti dropped from the ceiling Issy began screaming and jumping around the stage. We all took turns hugging her and congratulating her before the judges came up on stage. 

As Ant and Dec closed out the show, the judges came to give us hugs and praise for us for amazing work and talent. David whispered for us to back again and winked a conspiratorial wink at us, which made us laugh. 

Ant and Dec also came over to give us hugs and tell us how proud we made them and that we were the best golden buzzer they have ever chosen. For us, I think that was much better than winning.

We started to pile off when I remembered our chat when all of this started.

"Wait! Hold up!" I shouted. The others turned to look at me. 

I ran over to Ant and Dec, who looked at me funny. "Can I have a kiss on the cheek?"

They laughed and both kissed my cheeks at the same time as I took a selfie of the moment. I ran back to the group with their mouths dropped open. 

"What?" I shrugged. "I told you I was going to do it!" I said it and walked toward the green room as they laughed at my cheekiness.
