First Time Together

For the last eight months we all had practicing our chosen on our own. Evy knew someone who was able to take our song and transfer it to sheet music for the instruments we had and it actually sound like the song. 

We were and eclectic band. We consisted of a saxophone, two flutes, a french horn, a triangle, percussion, a clarinet, a piano, spoons, violin, a guitar, and two singers. 

We each made recordings of ourselves playing our parts and then sent the recordings to each other so we could hear ourselves the others and practice on time with each other.  

"I still can't believe we're doing this," Danii said as she set up her drums. 

"I know. It started out as a Twitter debate of which instrument was better!" Victoria laughed while polishing the mouth piece of her french horn. 

"When I suggested we had a band, I was just making a joke, but then it caught on and now we're here!! We're really doing it! This is what I love about this fandom!" I said smiling at all of them.

"Same, " Aleen said. "This fandom really is the best. This is proof."

Today was going to be the first time we were actually playing together. The excitement in the room was overwhelming and gave us the energy would need to for the long day ahead.

The hotel was generous enough to let us play in one of their ballrooms that wasn't being used as it had a piano Quan could use. 

We spent the day practicing, rearranging sitting arrangements for best sound and where to put the singers for best stage look.

After hours of work, we were proud of our performance and felt ready for our audition the next afternoon in front some of the toughest judges for talent shows. 

We had one thing left to work out, what were going to wear. We knew the color scheme, but we still had not decided on what to actually wear.
