Me and Blake decide we should dress nice, neither of us know what to expect and w wouldn't want to turn up there and be really underdressed or overdressed so we decided to dress nice but not to nice.
Blake wears a pair of black skinny jeans and a white blouse and I wear a simple floral dress, which would be a lot easier to get on thanks to the cast on my leg.
Blake pulls my fingers away from my mouth where I chow on them nervously and kisses them.
"It will be fine." she reassures me. I smile back and look out to the lake, we came early mostly because Blake cannot wait but also because I want to be sure not to miss it and have to wait for tomorrow because I could change my mind.
"how much longer?" I ask, scanning the lake again.
"Any moment now." Blake says, kissing me in the top of my head.
Almost as soon as she finishes saying that a carriage appears it doesn't suddenly appear or slowly fade in it just is there, like it had always been there. A carriage made of a huge acorn with round windows either side and big golden wheels, sitting on top is a pretty woman wearing a white dress and leading the carriage are four huge crickets.
The woman doesn't look at us, just sits still waiting fro us to decide to get in or not. Blake wheels me to the carriage and helps me get in then she gets in herself.
As soon as Blake gets in the carriage the door slams close behind her making her yelp in surprise. The carriage doesn't feel like it is moving at all and for a second I think we haven't started moving yet but when I look at the window I see that I was wrong.
The carriage rolls smoothly through a forest that clearly isn't of the world I know. I don't know how I know that but something about it screams other worldly, perhaps it's the beauty of the place. I look over at Blake to see her leaning out the window her mouth wide as she looks outside.
"It's beautiful." Blake says breathlessly.
"How long do you think the journey will be?" I ask, she shrugs hardly taking note of me, to entranced of the woods.
The carriage comes to a stop but I dare not look, Blake does though and she gasps.
The doors are opened on both sides of the carriage by two troll looking men both wearing smart tuxedos. They help us out with their hands gently grasping on our wrists. The troll who helped me out grabs my wheel chair and places me in it, then he starts wheeling me forwards. I finally look at what lies before me and I gasp just like Blake had, who is now walking next to me with a troll wo stands about 8 ft tall behind her.
Looking forwards I don't know how I could have ever seen anything a beautiful before now, well apart from Blake of cause.
A huge castle stands in front of us, a bridge leading up to it over a blue river. When I say huge I mean huge, the trolls easily walk through the doors and as already motioned they are very tall.
The castle is styled like as a Victorian paradise and that's about how far I can go into describing it because half of the things I don't know what they even are.
Maids and butlers run about, trying their hardest to go in noticed. But I purposefully look out for them, trolls, fay, gargoyle and elves run about in fancy little suits.
We get to large double doors made of hard wood with shiny golden accents and door handles. Two Elves who stand at about 8ft too open the doors for us, inside a red carpet with rows of seats on each side, each chair filled with different types of beings they all stand as the doors open and turn to us. At the end of the red carpet sits my mum to her left is a vampire man whom I assume to be then king and sat in chairs behind them are four boys and one girl whom I assume are his kids.
The troll starts rolling me in, if he hadn't I doubt I would of had the balls to enter myself. Blake walks confidently next to me, her head held high but something tells me deep down she's just as nervous as me.
The king and my mother smile widely as we get close, making me look down nervously.
My mum looks great, her hair and make up done for the first time I've ever seen. She wears a beautiful gown and an elegant crown on her head, I almost don't recognise her.
"Scarlet" she grins at me embracing me in my wheel chair. "I'm so glad you came" she whispers in my ear.
I say nothing, almost to speechless.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." the king says, bowing to me slightly making me feel uncomfortable.
"This is Blake." I state, pointing at Blake. She'll happily take the attention I really don't want. The king chuckles, flashing his pearly white fangs and his eyes wrinkling at the corner.
"I know." he states, a wide smile on his face as he shakes her hand.
He takes my wheel chair and takes me up to the raised platform, Blake following close behind with my mother.
"Meet the new princesses" he says to the room full of beings, they all clap and cheer for us making me blush bright red.
What have I gotten myself into?
