Jaspers (& eyes)

So, I have seen a particular theory that Jasper was actually a fusion based on her eyes. Well, I shall now prove that incorrect.

1: there was only one gem when she was poofed. But I'm still not resting my case.

2: the Jaspers we saw at Pink Diamond's zoo have the same eyes as our Jasper.

So, I have concluded that it's just a thing that Jaspers have.

But this has just sparked another theory about the eyes...

Jaspers are meant to be strong, right? Fusion makes gems stronger, I.e. "Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak gems stronger."

The Diamonds have eyes similar...

What if: Gems have color in their eyes because it's a sign of them being strong? Or at least, they are supposed to be strong.

If this is the case, then it would be like animals having patches of color to help intimidate predators. I think it would be like that... Maybe...

Eh, it's just a thought.

Upon further observation, I have found that some of the amethysts also have the color... I think I might be onto something, maybe possibly?
