F I R E W O R K 5

At ten in the morning Romeo's phone buzzed. He had been sleeping but picked up since the constant buzzed annoyed him. Without looking at the contact name he answer the phone and turned in his bed.

"Hello?" He drawled, adjusting the cover on his body.

"Are you still asleep? I'm sorry I really wanted to talk about something.."

Hearing his girlfriend's voice he sat up in his bed. "I'm on my way.."

"Juvia is concerned, is Gray okay?"

Sitting on the couch with his wife Gray thought long and hard about what Levy had said to him. He felt like he knew so little about the girl, denying the fact they grew up together. How could he have not noticed all the pain she was being put through?

"I'm fine, don't worry about me." He smiled, patting her head. She bit her lip, she hated when he looked upset.

A text came in from Gray's phone. Juvia watched carefully from under his shoulder as he typed in the password and went to his texts. The most recent texts were from the friend group. The last text from [Name] said love you too which made Juvia slightly angered. The text more recent text came from Levy, which made her relax. If anything, Levy was the last person to hit on Gray.

She sighed and flipped her blue hair. "Juvia is going to the bathroom."

It was ten in the morning when [Name] was cooking in the kitchen. She had been listen to some old classics, ones from the early 2000s. She was making eggs, [Pancakes or Waffles], sausage and bacon.

As everything was cooking [Name] began to dance slightly, pouring a glass of water for herself. She flipped the eggs before moving the sausage links around the pan.

Placing the spatula down and she sang the lyrics lowly. Natsu had woken up at soon as he smelled the sausage. Yet [Name] was still unknown to it.

He walked into the kitchen and saw the girl sing in a soft voice to the old song. It was over ten years old by now but he knew she was a fan of old songs. She rushed over to the food to flip the food in the pan and put things on a separate plate before the song ended. He stopped watching and walked over to her and placed his hands on her hips. She jolted but relaxed when she realized it was Natsu. She picked up the pan with the sausage as Natsu shut off the fire. It was placed on the same plate as the bacon. He helped place them on the table as [Name] burst out singing out the current song.

"I don't want to spend my life with infant be for all the famous people screaming your name I was there and you were my baby."

She walked over to Natsu and began to dance with him as he spun her around, her laughing and them both singing the lyrics.

"My oh! My oh! My boo,"

As he held her in his arms, swaying back and forth singing the lyrics with some laughs he realized something.

He glanced at the [Hair Color] girl and smiled at her as she twirled out his arms, singing the rest of the lyrics.

As he smiles at the girl, he sees how much more fun he has with [Name] than anyone else.

"My head.."

Lucy presses a hand to her pounding head as she looks to her right. She saw the time, 10:42. She turns to the other side expecting her husband to be there since she had been naked, yet he found none other than Loke.

He stirred in the bed as Lucy eyes widen in remembrance of yesterday. She had made the stupid mistake of invited Loke over her house. She had been drinking and so had he, leading to the drunk sex they both shared.

She felt so guilty, she felt dirty. Cheating on Natsu would surely make him leave her, after she accused him of cheating in the first place. As she thought of how it all started she was going to start crying, she had made the worst mistake of her life.

"Why isn't Natsu here?"

Loke looked around the room as he took a sip of his whiskey. She only shrugged, downing her own drink. "We got into a fight." She opened another bottle of Don Julio and drank straight from the clear bottle. Once she put it down she leaned on the boy, a pout on her lips as she looked up at him. "Does he like [Name]?"

He averted his eye so he wouldn't stare at her chest, drinking more alcohol. "Um well he's dating you so I'm guessing not." He wet his lips as the girl made a noise of dissatisfaction.

"I know he likes her, they're always together!"

"When we were younger I used to think so." He finished the last of his glass, reaching over to grab the bottle. "But then you moved here and no one could take their eyes off you."

She shifted, her chest pressed to his own as she fiddled with his buttons. "Including you?" She slurred, her brown eyes blinking. He gulped loudly as alarms continuously went off in his head. Natsu was his friend, he couldn't sleep with his girlfriend. This was wrong.

Lucy couldn't comprehend much, her brain was just showing a monkey playing symbols as if to warn her. Yet they shut off as soon as she pressed her lips to his. All she could think about was Natsu, how could he do this to her?

That same night Natsu was in a similar predicament. When the movie him and his best friend watched was over she was laying on his chest, the empty ice cream pint on the floor. She could hear his heartbeat, his arm was placed lazily on top of her waist.

"This was the movie you saw on your first date?" She questioned glancing up at her friend.

"It's interesting, there's some action for me and romance for her." He shrugged, her sitting up.

"Yeah well it's one in the morning and I'm tired."

Natsu sucked his teeth and sat up too, "we used to pull all nighters."

She began to explain how they were older now and couldn't sustain that lifestyle. She walked into her room and towards her bed before climbed on top of it, him following behind her. She told him a goodnight before pulling the [Favorite Color] covers and shutting her eyes. He stood there for a good two minutes before laying on top of her. She groaned and whined his name as he laughed, he lived to annoy her.

He rolled over and looked at his friend in the dark, she turned to him and looked in each other's eyes. [Name] had always considered Natsu to be a touchy person, especially with her. The smallest things can get her flustered.

"You have to see Lucy in the morning you should be well rested." She smiled jutting her hand out to touch his cheek. She could feel his frown and frowned herself.

He moved closer to her and propped himself on one of his elbows, with a whisper his breath fanned her face. "Your a great friend, you know that?"

Her heart sank, that wasn't what she wanted to hear. He put her in her place, right back in the friend zone. She glanced away from his stare, all she wanted to do now was sleep. Natsu only stared loving at her, and leaned in towards her face. The girl began to freak out if he was actually going to kiss her, yet was disappointed when it was only her forehead. He muttered a goodnight and left the room, a sleepless night left for [Name].
