"Are we really never going to see you again?"

Lucy hadn't heard such a disappointing tone in Ezra's voice in such a long time. The blonde bites her lower lip, a hand on her stomach. There's no turning back, she can't stay here. "I don't know." Her hand grips the worn out duffel bag that's been through so much. "Maybe someday."

The two girls stare at one another, before Lucy drops the bag and embraces her friend in a hug. She finds more tears spill out of her eyes, her eyes hurt from crying so much yet that hasn't stopped her yet. Ezra holds back her tears, wanting to be strong for the both of them. She knew as soon as the girl left though she'd be a bawling mess.

Lucy pulls away first, wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry guys."

"Just please stay safe." Ezra clasps her hands together, while she takes one last look at the two of them. Grabbing the door handle, she shuts the door on her way out. Once it's closed and her friends are no longer in sight, she trudges away from the door slowly, Loke pulling up the residents. He apologizes for his lateness, grabbing her bag as she places a hand on her stomach. She walks and sits in the passenger seat, leaning her head back against the leather with her eyes closed. Once his car door was shut, the car slowly sped off.

Levy sits on the floor of the Fullbuster household, her cell phone on the floor beside her. She just got off the phone with her husband, it was the first time they've spoke since he's been locked away. Levy hasn't said much so the phone call wasn't very long. It was all the same things he'd been saying for years, and if she was being honest she was tired of it. Someone knocked on her door, she hadn't said anything, which prompted the person to open it a crack. Gray stuck his head inside, upon setting his sights on the girl sitting on the floor he opens it wider. "You okay in here?"

He takes a seat beside her as she nods, not saying anything. He puts a hand on her leg that is by her chest, "you sure?"

She bites her lip, "Gajeel called me." His words meant nothing to her anymore, so there wasn't much else to say about the phone call.

He scoots a bit closer to her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "are you alright?" She looks into his dark, warm eyes and nods. People always said Gray looked like such a cold man, but she couldn't understand why. He liked getting business done and he was kind. Her lips etched into a small smile by just looking at him, in which he did the same and brought her into a hug.

They stayed in that position for a while, "thank you Gray." She lifted her head a bit so they can look at each other properly. Their faces were close, bodies still entangled in a semi-hug. "I haven't felt this safe around a man in a very long time."

He didn't know what came over him in that moment, but he pushed away her blue locks and slowly inched closer to her face. Levy's breath hitched only slightly.

Fiddling with the ring on her finger she lays on the couch next to Sting, he chuckles at whatever was playing on the tv before taking a glance at the female beside him. He picks up the remote, turning down the volume before facing the girl. "Are you okay?" She doesn't look at him at first, placing her hands over her face. She begins to sob, and he pulls her close and rubs her back soothingly.

She presses her hand against his chest, "S-sting p-please.." She wipes her eyes, putting her hands in his. She's never done this before, she didn't want to hurt him.

"You want to breakup."

She looks up, "I have to." Her eyes are still a bit red, he looks down at his lap.

"Is it because of him?" Of course the only person he could be referring to was Natsu, in which he was right about. After yesterday- after confessing his love this seemed like the right thing to do. Her feelings were undeniable and she felt bad staying with him if her heart wasn't entirely into it.

She slid the ring off her finger, handing to him. "I'm sorry." He shakes his head, pushing it back towards her.

"Keep it." She tried once more but the answer was still the same. He was a stubborn guy so if he meant no his mind wasn't changed easily.

She stood to her feet, he got up as she walked towards the door. She turned back to him, seeing him give her a thin smile. "Thank you Sting, for everything." She opened the door, not being able to look at him anymore, "I'm really sorry."

When the door shuts behind her he walks over to it, standing in front of it as if he could get her back if he opened it again. But she was long gone by now, deep down he knew that. She would always pick her childhood friend.

She went home crying that day, not even feeling the mood to paint since it reminded her of Sting. She hoped he'd be okay without her, find a girl that would truly love and stay with him.

Nasty found her like that, sleeping with puffy eyes and tissues scattered around her bed. Happy scampered inside the room, jumping on the bed and immediately rubbing against her. He only stood in the doorway as she stirred from her sleep, eventually jolting awake.

"Happy?" She questioned, wondering what had made her scared. Being fast asleep with something nipping at her caused her to think someone broke in. Looking up she sees her best friend smiling.

He pointed to his lip, "you gotta little drool."

Embarrassed, she threw a pillow in his direction while wiping her face before turning towards the cat. He walked inside and sat beside her, placing the pillow behind him.

"How was work?" She gave him a small smile, touching her mouth again in case there was still something on it.

"Nothing too interesting today just some paperwork." He locks eyes with her for a second, they gaze at each other until she looks away. Did she just blush? "Yourself?"

She pet cat in her lap, he couldn't see her face like this. "I um, broke up with Sting.." She never glanced up, internally he cheered. He takes a glance at her hands and notices that the ring was in fact off her finger. "You don't have to say anything."

He nods, not knowing exactly what to say. "Well are you hungry?"

She said she would go cook, taking Happy with her. Honestly he was somewhat grateful that she was gone. Ever since he said those words to her he's had such a urge to just kiss her. At this rate nothing would change.

"Natsu!"

He heard her voice ring out and for a second he felt his heart swell. He doesn't know why but he instantly got a flashback of every time she's called his name like that.

He walks down her steps, seeing her set the table for two and he takes a seat at the head. She sits beside him and silently the two eat. Well including the constant smacking of his lips while eating. Which somewhat irritated her but he already knows that.

"If you're going to do it at least don't look at me." She shakes her head, grabbing his empty plate as she goes towards the sink. He only smiles, wiping the hot sauce off his face.

In the middle of her rant, he interjects. "You know something." He stands beside her as she washes his plate. "I love you." It felt so natural to say, despite how only the sound of running water made it awkward.

She flicks water at him, "love you too loser."

Shaking his head he dips his hand under the water, splashing some on her face. "Like you mean it!" She laughs, wiping her face as she reaches for his hand.

"I love you Natsu." She kisses his cheek. She watches his face turn red before she slaps her wet hand on it and runs away. "Catch me if you can loser!"

He smirks, "I'm all fired up now!"
