The cell phone on the white marble counter buzzed, the busty blonde picking up the ruby red iPhone 7.

[Name]
I found it! It's called the Phoenix Priestess. You want me to buy it?

She heard footsteps, immediately putting the cellar device back on the table. "Hey babe." Natsu spoke, wrapping his arms around his beautiful girlfriend. She smiled and stirred the small yellow pot of fettuccine sauce. They shared a small kiss as he picked up his phone.

He let's go of the blonde and typed along the screen, asking the female how long dinner would take. Once she answers, he nods and still continues to type away on his phone. When he laughs Lucy could only wonder if he was talking to [Name] and what they were talking about. What would he be laughing at?

Once he puts down his phone for dinner and he told girlfriend [Name] be coming over later. She frowned but said okay, the boy obviously not noticing the discomfort she with the thought of [Name]. Of course Natsu knew her feelings toward his friend so he tries to continuously make it better by inviting [Name]. He just wanted Lucy could see how much a great person she is.

"Any special reason?" Lucy asked ambivalently, staring at the circular baby blue plate while twirling the linguini Alfredo with her sliver fork. She looked up a second later, onyx eyes already gazing empathetically at her.

"I know you don't like [Name], can you just give her a chance? Please?" He slid his hand across the table to hold her own. She looked back down at her food as she sighed. She didn't want to befriend his best friend.

"I don't know Natsu.."

"She's a great girl, she's more of a motherly figure than anything." He shrugged, retracting his hand to eat his delicious pasta. She questioned him on why as he munched on the food. Once he swallowed he opened his mouth, "after my father disappeared [Name] was there for me. She practically cried to her parents to let me stay, she had to do two months worth of housework just so I can stay in the guest room."

Lucy was quiet. She knew a lot about his past but anything with regarding [Name] she didn't know. Whatever happened after his father she knew nothing about. Although it was out of guilt she agreed to try and be friends with her, a gleeful smile forming on her boyfriend's face. He got up from his seat and walked to the other side of the table to hug her from behind, muttering thank you and kissing her all over.

They finished dinner and the doorbell sounded when Lucy was washing dishes. Natsu walked over and opened the door to reveal his best friend. He hugged her and invited the female inside with a smile as she looked completely confused.

"You sent me an sos, I don't see any disaster going on." She raised an eyebrow as Natsu escorted her to the living room couch.

"Trust me it's coming."

Levy cried out in pain when she pressed her hand to her abdomen. She had been sitting on the tiled floor in her kitchen with her husband who had been unconscious, a faint scent of liquor.

"You promised.." She choked out a sob, her face hot with tears. She pushed the sapphire blue hair away from her face and took a deep breath.

She attempted to stand to her feet, holding onto the cherry red wall in her hunched form. She stared at her husband as she screamed those two words over and over at his sleeping form. She stumbled to the fridge and grabbed the thick ice pack before getting a thin rag to wrap it. Pressing it to her skin she bit her lip from yelling in pain. Her body ached in pain, yet she looked over at her husband. She reached for her husband arm and firmly wrapped her hand around it. Even when hurt, she had to help her spouse. She dragged him to the living room before helping him make it onto the couch cushions. She sat on the other end and in fifteen minutes Gajeel woke up. He gripped his head and groaned before looking toward his angry wife. He glanced to the ice pack on her stomach and frowned slightly, he could see how angry his wife was. All the memories of what he had down came flooding back in flashes. He apologized quickly as she sighed.

"You have a problem." She sighed, him nodding in agreement. Words couldn't describe how upset he was with himself, how much he hated what he did to her. He walked over to his wife who flinched, he had seen how she actually felt. His eyes softened and he gingerly touched her shoulder.

"I'm sorry.." Gajeel eyes watered at the sight of his own wife scared of him. He lightly touched her hand and rose her hand to his face. Gajeel still had those piercings from high school, her soft fingertips grazed over them. "I'm trying.. I hate doing this to you."

She leaned forward and he did the same, their foreheads leaning on one another as she closed her eyes. "I know.. It's okay."

He broke down, if he could cry in front of anyone it was his wife. She kept whispering softly to calm him down, if there's one thing they both share it'd be seeing each other cry.

"It's okay."
