Wendy flips through channels, petting Carla as she tries to find something to watch. She stops once she sees her favorite show placing the remote down.
The main character pops up, a ditzy girl in high school looking for love. Her and her friends go on the funniest adventures, although the show ended she was so happy to always see reruns.
The blue haired girl stops singing once she hears a knock on the door. She frowns a bit standing as Carla follows her. "Romeo." She begins to speak even though he probably couldn't hear her. "Shouldn't you be at practice or something-"
She opened the door, widening her eyes at the sight of Natsu in front of her. She points to him, "is that a bullet proof vest?" He looks down, a chuckle leaving his lips.
"Yeah I just got off of work." Carla brushes past her owner and into the pink boy's arms. "Happy isn't with me this time." He smiles, petting the white feline.
"Don't stand out there, come inside." She opens the door wider and walks into the house.
"I won't be too long." He takes a seat on the couch, noticing her watching her favorite show. She often talked about it whenever they talked. "I need to ask you about what you and [Name] talked about."
She raises her eyebrows, "I talk to her a lot.."
He sucks his teeth, crossing his arms. "Don't play dumb with me. When you and your boyfriend went to our houses to dig into our past."
She snaps her fingers, knowing the exact situation. Of course she knew the whole time but she had been sworn to secrecy. "I can't tell you."
He sighs, "I thought you'd say something like that." He looks down, fiddling with his fingers. "The truth is I'm going to ask Lucy to marry me in a couple days so before that.." He clears his throat, glancing away at her. "Give me something, anything." Although his words seemed desperate he didn't seem as if he was in that state.
"O-oh my goodness." She bits her lip. "Does [Name] know?" He only shakes his head as she clears her throat. "Did you try to ask her about it? About what we talked about." Wendy can't even look at him, her mind swarming with different thoughts.
"She's in a relationship, didn't you check the group chat?"
"Yeah did you see that sick burn Romeo gave Lucy?" She gets up, leaving to go get her phone that had been charging. She goes back over the messages as she strolls in the room. She takes a look at the picture one more time with a sad smile. Sting treated her good, was Wendy really about to help in destroying her chance at happiness? Especially after so long?
She looks back into the eyes of Natsu, who was like an older brother to her. Whenever [Name] wasn't around he was, looking out for her the same way [Name] does. She lets out a sigh, looking at her favorite character talking to someone with hidden feelings for her. She shipped them more than the man the ditzy character ends up with.
Determination suddenly fils her, even though it isn't her place to mess with [Name]'s love life she felt like this was the right choice. "I-I'll help you."
"How are you feeling?"
Gray help Levy take a seat into his car as she nods, there's still a small bandage on her head but the doctors had cleared her to leave. He shuts the door once he makes sure she is buckled and safe, going over to his side.
"You don't have to treat me like a child." She sighs, flipping down the visor and lifting the flap. She sees her reflection, noticing how longer her hair has gotten. Her face is also a bit slimmer. She only blinks, moving her hair to cover the bandage as Gray begins to drive.
"Have you decided?" He asks, taking a glance at the girl who looks out her window. Ezra had stopped by and asked her if she wanted him incarcerated, seeming to have enough evidence against him to make that happen. Yet it could only be done unless the victim signs off on it.
"He's still my husband Gray." She grips her skirt. "I still love him."
He sighs, shaking his head a bit. "You also need more therapy." He mutters, her hitting him for saying such words.
They pull up in front of her house and she trembles at the thought of going back inside. Gray helps her out of the car and she doesn't let go of his hand. He leads the way inside and the memories of what happened seem to be rushing back. As soon as she steps into the living room the exact scene plays in her head as she swallows a lump in her throat.
"I-I can't stay here." Her body is trembling as her grip on the boy tightens immensely. He only lets out a breath and pulls her into his chest. His hand rests on her head, as if trying to shield her from the surrounds.
"Where's your suitcase? You can come stay at my house." He hadn't really focused on anything beside the girl that was holding tightly.
"I don't want to impose-"
"If you aren't comfortable staying here then you don't have to." He looks down at her, "that's why you have friends like us."
She tells him where the suitcase is, walking into her bedroom as if she was walking on a tightrope. Every time he'd say her name she jumped in fright. He knew she wasn't scared of him, Gajeel must've did a number on her.
"How long?"
He sat on her bed, watching her pack her clothes. "After he got his construction job." She sighs, taking a glance to see that the man was shirtless. "Gray your shirt."
He sucks his teeth, immediately looking around the room as she continues to pack. She laughs lightly at the frustrated boy who ends up finding his shirt in a very obscure place.
Once the bag is fully packed Gray takes it for her. She clutches onto his arm as she walks past the wall she was thrown against. She cringes at the memory, happy to be leaving with her boss.
"Where have you been?"
Lucy crosses her arms, seeing Natsu is home later than usual. Which he didn't tell her he'd be late like he usually does.
"I just got this new case and I can't figure it out." He sighs, holding his girlfriend in his arms. "It's similar to an old one, as if the problem never went away."
She lifts her head, "I'm a bit confused.." Sometimes she felt bad for him, he really enjoyed his job. He just didn't like all the paperwork. Sometimes he'd go on for hours just about him busting a cartel or some of his adventures out in the field.
"Never mind." He let's go of her, walking into the kitchen. He opens the fridge processing some of the stuff Wendy told him. She was so obscure with her words he didn't understand it.
"Well there's something hidden in her favorite place."
What could that mean? Wendy didn't know about the park they used to go to as kids. That used to be [Name]'s favorite place. What was she referring to? The young girl wouldn't even tell him what was hidden.
