(POV) Lafayette:

It's been a month since we unmasked Jefferson. We all marched across the campus to him. He was accused of unspeakable things. You kind of have to feel sorry for him.
The police came later that afternoon, and they frogmarched him away. Nobody has really seen him much since.
We did go and visit him. He cried when we showed no mercy.
We destroyed any hope he may of ever had.

He's gonna be there for at least seven years. It's unsure, but most people say he'll probably serve ten years. That's a lot for a college student if you didn't know.

It was Alexander's funeral today.

They had to postpone it several times for this and that, but now it was John's time to give Alexander what he feels like Alexander deserves - recognition.
He's gonna make sure that some day everyone will know the name Alexander Hamilton.
As the organs started up, John walked down the isle, and took a pew. Eliza played the organ, as she volunteered to play every Sunday, and had become the Church pianist. She seemed kinda uncomfortable but I didn't think much of it.
John, me and Hercules were all crying.
John made a beautiful speech though; "Thank you all for being here today to celebrate the life of Mr Alexander Hamilton. He had only just found his happy place in life when it was cruelly taken away from him. He had wonderful friends, a boyfriend who adored him and more. He did well at school and may I say - Let the creature who took his life away burn eternally in hell. They do not deserve to be here if my Alexander can not. He will be sorely missed and we hope he rests well in heaven, the place where he once wished to be. He may not have been the luckiest person alive - or the happiest for that matter - but he worked hard for a place on this Earth. This Earth deserves him, not the other way round. Thank you."
Mulligan did a wonderful speech as well; "I remember playing in the park with Alexander, giggling and laughing, sitting on the swings and pushing each other. I remember getting ice creams together afterwards. I remember him as a best friend - Alexander was like a brother to me.
Alexander was an amazing guy and he will always live on in our hearts, no matter what.
He was a respectful, slightly bossy, man, and me and you and everyone else here will sorely miss him.
I-I could never ask for a better friend and I hope we can all honour him and his legacy. Thank you for being here tonight."
They both caused the audience to cry, especially John's.  Afterwards I say a few words in French; "Salut tout le monde, merci d'être ici ce soir. Alexandre était un grand homme qui méritait mieux que cela. J'espère que vous trouverez bientôt le confort. Merci de votre attention." (Note: Please remember, Lafayette's French is done by google translate, so please don't take offence if it's wrong!) Everyone smiles and applauds, as I say "Merci!" Then strut off the stage.
(French translation: "Hi everyone, thank you for being here tonight. Alexander was a great man who deserved better than that. I hope you soon find comfort. Thank you for your attention.")

(TIME SKIP - Next Day:)

(POV) John:

My whole world crashes down around me as I glare at the police officer.
"Sorry hon, there's nothing we can do. We've tried everything!" She drawls.
"B-But you can't!" I say near tears.
Then Mulligan bursts in, ready to save the day. "I saw police cars outside! Is everything okay?"
I nod, lying, unable to speak.
"What's wrong?" He demands.
"We've just told him we can't do any more with he murder of Mr Hamilton. Thank you, and hope you have a good day!" Pipes up the police officer. If looks could kill, she'd be six feet under right now.
"It'll be okay! They've gotta do something!" Hercules persists.
"No they can't." I say, miserable.
"Come back to ours." He says quietly patting me on the back.

Back at theirs, I burst into tears as both Lafayette and Mulligan coax me. I sit, a cup of hot chocolate in their turtle cup which they save for me for whenever I come over.
"We have to think of something mon amor!" Says Lafayette to Hercules.
"I know, I know!" Hercules replies.
That's when I get up. If Alex and me can't be together then what's the point in life? What if there's only one soulmate and Alex was mine?
"I need to go. See you later." In the afterlife.
I wave to them and before they can say anything, I bang their door with a satisfying thud! I kiss one fingertip then touch the door. Then I leave them.

I run to my house and get my bike and the little napkin I keep in my top drawer for just in case. Then I ran out and cycled uptown to the church. Okay, I may not be a religious man but I found peace in the eerie churchyard, filled with graves and tombs. I loved it.
After touching my favourite graves, all elaborately carved, beautiful, marbled ones, I begin my climb.  Up and up. Darker and darker, until I push through into daylight. I am on top of the church tower. I always hoped it would end like this; with me in control. The wind whips my mad, curly hair as I stand on the beautiful stone tower. I take the napkin from my pocket, carefully unfolding it. Inside is Alex. Alex's ashes.
I sprinkle them to the floor below me, feeling dizzy as I look down.
"GOODBYE." I shout, but the wind carries my voice far away.

I stand up straight.

I take a deep - possibly my last ever - breath.

I close my eyes, and muster all my courage.

Then I jump.

I soar.

I fly.

Then I fall.

I break.

I shatter.

My neck now splinters, my bones cracked, my mind an angry mess - but there was one thing that was already broken; my heart.
