The Letter

Severus was sitting alone like always at his desk at Hogwarts in his office grading the first year's papers "Ahh Granger perfect score like always. Bloody little know-it-all." he mumbled to himself quietly. He didn't exactly hate his job he just didn't really like the students. Then there were the new 3 students that started this year. Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and the one and the only, Harry Potter. He was just like his father, lazy, arrogant, always strutting around the castle with his friends getting into trouble and making a mess of things. He even looked just like his father but he had his mother's eyes.

Lily, Snape has moved on from her but he always catches himself thinking about her at times. Okay maybe he was a tad bit still in love with her but what does it matter how she is still with James and they are still as happy as can be. Yes, they are still alive. Once Voldemort thought they were dead they went into hiding. They finally came out of hiding last year when Harry started Hogwarts. Snape was deep in thought when he heard a tap at his window. He went over and opened it. A dark brown owl with white claws flew in and landed on his desk.

He walked over and grabbed the letter. There was no name on it to signal who it was from all it said was "This letter is only to be opened by Severus Tobias Snape"

Severus cursed under his breath "How dare whoever sent me this use my blasted middle name"

He opened the letter and read:

"Dear Severus Snape,

We the people at "Graham Windham Wizarding and Muggle Orphanage" in main London would like to inform you that there has been a little girl captured from one Bellatrix Lestrange who claims to be her mother. The girl has clearly been through six years of magical, physical, and emotional abuse. She has been here for two weeks and has not spoken a word to anyone here. She is always crying and whenever we enter her room she cowers away from us. Bellatrix Lestrange was brought here from Azkaban Prison for some more questioning on the little girl. She swears on her life that you are the father. So after many magical DNA tests, it is confirmed that she is your child. You are required to come pick her up within the next thirty days. You will need to have a suitable home for her. Her name is Sophie Lestrange that will soon be changed to Snape. She is eight years of age. We will be expecting you. When you get to the desk we would like you to say who you are here to see then you will need to say: "The password is a crafty muddy salesman." GoodDay."

Snape drops the letter and mumbles "Goddammit" and with the snap of his fingers, he is at Spinners End.
