(Third Person.)
Sophie put the box on her dad's desk and climbed up there. She opened it and squealed.
"A KITTY!!" She said excitedly.
"Damn Malfoys," Severus says under his breath.
"What daddy?" Sophie looks at her father.
"Nothing sweetie."
"Look at my kitty." She shoves the kitten into his arms.
"Yes, I see." He picks up the kitten. "Looks like a boy. What are you going to name him?"
"Hmmmmmm," She thinks for a bit. "Yellow!"
"Yellow? But he's gray."
"So." She takes the kitten and walks through the door to her fathers living quarters. Severus follows.
"What do you think you're doing? He's not staying in here."
"No, he's going to be sleeping with me. I'm getting him some milk." She walks over and grabs a bowl, gets the milk, and pours some for Yellow. "Here you go kitty." She sits on the floor with the cat and pets him. "Daddy we need to go get him some food."
"Oh okay, we will go to Diagon Alley. But first-" Severus calls a house to look over the kitten. He and Sophie go over to the fireplace. "The Leakey Cauldron."
They walk out of the fireplace with a puff of smoke. They go out to the little courtyard where they both have been so many times. Severus pulls out his wand.
"Dad can I do it." Severus is taken by surprise because she never calls him anything but "Daddy".
"Yes, of course." he hands her the wand and picks her up because she is quite short. She taps the wall four times and it opens up. He puts her back down and the walk to Magical Menagerie.
They get some cat food, some dishes, and a golden collar. Not real gold, of course, Severus would never spend too much on a stupid animal. Especially a cat. He hates cats and The Malfoys know this. He is going to have some yelling to do later.
