Snape's POV

I sit quietly at my desk eating. I had a house elf bring me dinner so I didn't have to see the Weasley boy. After I finish I start reading a book that Sophie got me for Christmas last year. It's a Muggle book called Slated. It has three books in total and I'm on the first book. It is quite good.

Normally when someone has detention with me they are about five minutes early but it is currently 7:59 and Weasley should be here at eight.

8:03 He's late. I hear running footsteps coming down the hall. My door opens with a bang. "I'm sorry I'm late sir. I- i" He says breathlessly.

"Save your excuses, Weasley. Sit down and start writing this on a piece of parchment." I get up and turn to my board. I write I will never again hurt Professor Snape's daughter or anyone else ever again.

Keep writing until I say other wise. I sit down and start reading my book again. For about 35 minutes we sit there in silence.

I stand up and go check on his paper. It's all sloppy. "Write neater Weasley."

"Sir, could I take a break my hand is hurting real bad."

"Ummm that sounds like a you problem. Keep writing!" I say to him and go back to reading my book.

Another 20 minutes later I get tired of hearing the scratching of the quill. "Go over there and clean out those cauldrons."

"Professor, I am really tired can I please do it tomorrow night?" He wines and I get a brilliant idea.

"Wow I thought you were a complete idiot but I guess you're not. That is an amazing idea, Mr. Weasley. Yes, you can do it tomorrow."

He grabs his stuff and goes to the door "Thank you, Professor."

"Wait where do you think you're going?"

He looks at me confused. "B- but you said I could go."

"NO. What I said was that you can clean out cauldrons tomorrow to as well as today."

"What! That's no fair."

I put my feet up on the desk. "I don't care. Cauldrons. Now."

He throws down his stuff and walks over to clean the cauldrons. "Oh and 20 points from Gryffindor for raising your voice at a teacher."

He has cleaned about two and a half cauldrons when my daughter runs in and jumps on my lap.

"Guess what I got from uncle Lucius  and aunt Narcissa today." She holds up a cardboard box with a couple holes in it. They wouldn't. Would they?

"Hold on a second, Sophie. Weasley be back here same time tomorrow. Oh and ten more points for being late today." He grabs his stuff and leaves the room.
