Sophie and Ginny search the train for a compartment to sit in.
"We can go sit with Draco and his friends," Sophie suggests.
"They don't like me." Ginny frowns. Ginny had told Sophie that she has had a crush on Draco around the end of November. "Let's go sit with my brother and his friends."
"He's mean to me. And it seems like Hermione and Harry don't like me but they don't do mean things."
"I'll make sure they be nice. And if he is mean I will tell my mummy when we get to the station. "
"Okay."
They walk quietly looking for the trio. Once they find them Ginny opens the glass door. Ron immediately looks up and says "Your not welcome to sit here." He points at Sophie.
Hermione looks up from her potions book. "Ronald! Don't listen to him." She scoots over and pats the seat next to her. Sophie goes and sits next to Hermione and Ginny sits right next to her.
Sophie whispers "Thank you." she looks over at Hermione's book. It says "Add 7 1/2 measures of boomslang skin to the cauldron." Sophie thinks for a second. She has seen her fathers book and it says 3, not 7 1/2 "That's wrong." She points to the text.
'What?" Hermione says confused. "No, it's not. The books are never wrong."
"Yes, it is." She says looking at Hermione. "My Fa-"
"How do you know. You're a first year. You know nothing." Ron Interrupts
"God damn it, Ronald Weasley. I told you last night if you were mean to her again I would break up with you. I am giving you one more chance. Now Sophie what were you saying?"
"I was saying that my father has a book that he had written the right answers in. The right answers. That's why he always writes the ingredients on the board. Because they're wrong in the book. The correct answer is 3 measurements, not 7 1/2."
"Really?" Hermione thinks. "No offense Sophie but I'm surprised he could give us the right answers." Hermione pulls out a Muggle pen and scratches out 7 1/2 and puts 3.
Most pure-blood kids would have no idea what a pen was but Sophie's father being half-blood wants Sophie to be able to use Muggle stuff.
The rest of the ride to Kings Cross Sophie told Hermione all the right answers she knew and Hermione helped Sophie with her charms homework. Ron was staring out the window obviously angry. Harry was reading "Quidditch Through The Ages." And Ginny was playing with Yellow.
They heard the whistle blow that told them that it was almost time to go. Hermione helped the two little girls get their trunks. They walked off. Narcissa and Lucius were talking to Molly and Auther. Bill, Ginny's older brother was there too. Charlie and Bill home for the holidays.
Ginny runs up to her oldest brother that she has not seen or talked to in a year "BILL!!"
Sophie makes her way to her Aunt and Uncle pulling her trunk with one hand and holding her cat with the other. She drops her trunk right bye her feet and hugs her Uncle and her Aunt kisses her cheek as she just did to Draco.
She over hears her friend telling her mum all that Ron did to her. "Aunt Cissa this is my Best Friend, Ginny." She shows Narcissa Ginny. "Ginny this is my Aunt and Uncle Narcissa and Lucius." Ginny smiles at them and shakes their hands.
Molly speaks up "Hello Sophie I'm Ginny's mum. I've heard so many things about you. Sophie goes to shake her hand but instead, Molly pulls her into a hug. Sophie smiles.
"Okay, Sophie" Lucius says "We must be going now. Good seeing you Molly and Arthur I'll see you at work. Have a Happy Christmas." He and Narcissa smile at them.
Sophie gives Ginny a big hug. "I'll write you."
"Bye Sophie."
Narcissa and Lucius grab Sophie's hands and they apparate to the house that they and Severus share.
