Secret or Walk away?

Kaoru's POV:

"That was another reason why I came here, to get revenge on the Powerpunks," Kanae said.

"It's a good thing," I said. "We needed your help in getting the boys back."

"You say that but you let go of Takeshi?"

I stayed silent.

"Why did you walk away from him? I know you still love him."

"... I do but... if we keep this relationship, more trouble will come."

"I understand. But... in the future, you'll regret it badly."

"Why?"

"I don't see much of it, but this is what I see: it will happen after you graduate from high school. He'll go to a different college and place and you'll never see him for 8 or 10 years."

"What? Where will he go?"

"I don't know. I can't see everything in the future. But if you come back to Takeshi now, Brute will kill you so I suggest you either come back to him in secret of come back to him after the vacation. You should say this to Momoko and Miyako too. Also, keep an eye on Taro. Berserk will be disguised as 'Rose' since they know they're Mutsumi, Miyumi and Kahoru now. She will use the Kaiso to charm Taro."

"Um... how is that exactly?"

"Oppressor Plutonium is with the girls so he will turn the Kaiso into paste and Berserk will brush her teeth using it. The Kaiso has the scent of charm so the one who has its scent has the ability to charm its target. If Taro inhales it, his mind will be focused on being with her. In other words, he will become obsessed with her."

"Man... talk about obsession..."

"Yep. Ever since they got the Kaiso, they've been talking about the boys nonstop."

"They're worse than Takeshi's fangirls."

"Taishi?"

I looked up and saw Taishi trying to hide behind the wall.

"This is private, Taishi. Why were you eavesdropping on us?" I asked.

"Sorry, couldn't help myself."

"When did you get here?"

"I arrived at the part about Taro inhaling the Kaiso scent."

Kanae sighed in relief. Looks like she feels lucky that Taishi didn't hear about her being a mermaid.

"Can I help you out?"

"Sure but you have to keep this a secret from Mutsumi, Miyumi and Kahoru."

"Okay."

I looked at Kanae and saw her looking worried. I think I need to talk to her about this alone.

~Time Skip~

Okay, Momoko and Miyako refused to leave Taro and Hiroki but agreed to pretend that they broke up. Takeshi was in the plan too, but didn't ask me if I wanted us to be together again. I guess he was just waiting for me to say it.

I asked Kanae why she looked worried when I agreed that Taishi can join us. She just doesn't fully trust him yet. I don't know why because he's a doctor. I mean, how bad could it be? Unless he's a son or servant of a mad scientist like Oppressor Plutonium. Now that would be bad. I don't think it'll be bad having someone like Taishi on this mission thingy.

By the way, even though Kanae and Taishi hung out yesterday, she was unsure of having Taishi on our side. I wonder why...

"So they know what we're going to do with the Kaiso. Grrr... I wish we didn't kill those boys..." Berserk clenched her fists, causing the glass in her hand to shatter into pieces.

"Yeah... Renee sure will be helpful if we didn't," Brat frowned.

"Then why don't you revive them?" Brute asked.

"Nah, they would just help them defeat us."

"Then Brat should control them."

"It would be effective if they were dumb enough to not look into their eyes. Every time Brat would control someone, their eyes would turn blue. Their eyes are green and aqua."

"Hey, aqua is similar to blue right?"

"Yeah but Kazuo has the aqua eyes. You do know how much he and Renee love staring at each others' eyes. Plus, Brat will turn their eyes to dark blue."

"Hmm, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't control Boomer. His eyes and Brat's aren't too much of a difference," Oppressor Plutonium suggested.

"Yeah, that might work," Berserk smirked. "Plus, we do have Katsu on our side."

"You do know that's not my real name," Katsu said.

"I know. We just need to get used to it. Plus, we don't want to blow your cover."

"Alright. What do you want me to do this time?"

"Just blend in with your real name around them. Plus, why don't you drag Hiroki at the beach at night? You're stealthy as ever right?"

"Of course. I am was an assassin at the west remember?"

"Of course. Just be careful and don't blow your cover."
