(Lincoln's POV)
I looked out of the window. The view was incredibly beautiful. We were on a cliff. Only very few buildings and mainly bare land, but with nice background of sea below us.
It was 4 pm already, and we would be there in half an hour. I was half worried, half excited. I looked at Lynn, happier than ever. I felt guilty. I was still concerned about her. She was my sister.
At last, at some distance, although it was pretty small, I spotted a lighthouse at the edge of a cliff. I could recognize it with a ray of light emerged from it.
And I saw a chiseled artwork at the side of the cliff, long and sticking out of it. It kinda looked like... a hand.
I felt a surge of excitement inside me. Oh man, we're almost there. "Guys! There's the cliff where Steven lived below it!" I called out.
Everyone else stared out of the window, seeing a view that they never seen before. "Dude, it's rockin'." Luna said. "It will be definitely on my bucket list, but I don't have any bucket." Leni said. " I guess you gotta be cliff-er to finish an exam." Luan laughed.
"What are you gonna do there, Luc?" Lynn asked, attracting my attention.
"Isn't it obvious? I will discover the secret dark forces there." Lucy said.
"Yeah, that's fun," I barged in, chuckling. "How abou you? What are you gonna do once we're there, Lynn?
Lynn grunted. "I've told you before." She answered, folding her arms. She was still angry at me. So, for once, to avoid causing other trouble, I pushed last night's problem aside and tried to enjoy the trip.
"You're ready to meet lil' Steven, bro?" Luna asked.
"I... of course, yes. It'll be great. I can't wait!" I screamed, only halfhearted though. But I had to be excited, or this trip would be pointless. The purpose of this trip is to cheer me up, anyway.
Then, the van suddenly stopped. All of us were jerked forward, hitting the front seat. I fell down my seat, Lana, who was behind me, being jerked forward and fell down onto my seat. Lynn, next to me, quickly rose up again. Everyone was okay.
"What's the holdup?" Lori asked.
"I don't know. I can't move the van. The gas isn't working...!" Dad grunted.
"What? Really? But the tires are screeching." Lana said. "There's no way the engine broke down."
"I guess you still need a little gas to breathe. Ha ha" Luan joked again.
"No, this is serious. What the heck happened?" Luna said.
"According to the volume of the tires screeching, it is impossible that any natural force in the world could halt the van instantly to zero speed." Lisa explained, while I looked out of the window. "Therefore, I can conclude that the only thing that could cause this issue, is--"
"Magic." I said.
Although it was thin, some kind of blue ray had surrounded our van. Before I could say more, the van started to lift up. We fell down the seats again.
"It's positive, we are losing contact from the ground." Lisa said, getting up.
"Who are you, an air traffic controller?" Lori said.
"This is really weird..." Lucy said. "But I like it, as if I'm a witch, flying."
"I think... this van is... haunted..." Lola trembled.
"Guys! No fooling around!" I said. "I think this is a strange force pulling us upwards. If the van gets too high and fall down, we might get hurt. We have to think fast. Lisa, what do you have in mind?"
"Well, brother, I regret to tell you, but this circumstance is out of my grasp. Without knowing why, I can't help." Lisa said.
"Dad, hit the go-go thing!" Leni said.
"I'm trying... I couldn't!" Dad said, struggling.
"Come on Dad, you can do it! Come on!" Luna said.
"Guys, it's no use. But maybe with the van tilted downwards, this might work." Lynn said. "Guys, we have to push this van from in here, so maybe with the additional power from all of us, we could get back to the ground."
"What? That's impossible!" Lola protested.
"We don't know if we haven't tried! Come on be fast, give everything you got!" Lynn said, scrambling her way to the front seat, and pushed the window in front of her.
At first, I thought it was a useless way. But the other sisters followed her, pushing the window. Even Lily got in the part. And believe it or not, the van started to descend, with the power of ten sisters. It's impossible isn't it?
"Bro, come on! Help us!" Luna said to me. So I joined them, pushing with everything I got. Also with the gas pedal, the van started to fight against the strange force that pulled us up.
And the impossible happened. The van escaped from the force's grip and landed with a big thump. All of us fell down to the floor, jerked backwards. I fell over Lynn, and Lisa fell over me. It was a sister stack. Dad quickly braked the van after pushing the gas pedal so hard, and it made us jerked forward, hitting the seats again. The episodes went really fast.
Luckily, no one was injured. "Get off me!" Lynn said, pushing me aside. "Whoa, Lynn, how could you think of that?" Luna said, impressed.
"That's the best idea you've had in years!" Lana added.
"I gotta admit, you possessed marvelous skills." Lisa said.
"That's my little Lynn, you are a brave Lynn. We are so proud of you." Dad said.
"Thank you guys... I just followed my instinct," Lynn chuckled. "It's nothing seriously. I thought it was impossible at first."
"yeah, you're one great sis, Lynn." I joined. "you saved the day, once again."
Lynn sighed and turned away from me. "Huh, like you thought of an idea at the first place."
"Guys, no one is gonna talk about the strange magic that pulled us up? I almost died crying..." Lola sobbed.
"Ha!" Lynn laughed. "There's nothing to worry about. It maybe just an out-of-control gem power. But that power couldn't match us Louds! Right guys?"
The other sisters cheered. Now I concerned about her even more.
Then I realized, that one wasn't a usual gem power. I'd never seen Amethyst, Pearl, Garnet, Lapis, nor Peridot had such power--lift objects up without any hands.
"Guys... I think..." I paused. I knew Lynn would be madder if I told them that, because she might thought I was jealous.
"What is it, Linc?" Luan asked.
"I think we will have a good time at Beach City!" I diverted. Everyone else just nodded.
"Okay, kids, we will continue our trip!" Mom said. We all sat at our seats, and the van drove away.
Lynn had saved the day already.
