Diana's POV

"Please Zeus, I can't take this gift, it may take many years to teach from an infant age," I say as I look up at Zeus, the King of Gods, God of Thunder...

The King of Gods, Zeus, has given me a gift. Not just any gift, but a gift of a life...

A clay-sculptured infant stood in front of me, the infant was placed in a basket filled with white pillows and feathers,

It  sat in the woven basket, in a slumber position tucked in warm nicely in a blanket,

"As much as I adore infants, I don't think I'll be needing it, Zeus," I looked over at the infant and back up at Zeus, who had a look of disappointment

"I am not fit to be a mother, not to mention I have duties of an Amazon princess and Wonder Woman. A hero isn't meant to parent a child,"

I'm sorry, little one..., I thought

"And why not, Diana? Your mother has prayed to us, the gods, for a child of her own and she had you. Now, look at where you are at, not wanting to have a child of yours," Zeus insists "Nevertheless, I can alter her age into a fourteen-year-old girl!! I am the powerful God of all gods of Olympus,"

I roll my eyes, "Why on Earth would I need her, great Zeus, the girl won't have any knowledge of anything. She'll have the mindset of a child,"

"You'll see this as a mission. No, not a mission, but an experience. You'll never know what you're going to learn or perhaps grow into a new chapter in your life. "

"But, I don't need a kid now," I turn to look over at my mother, who was also giving me a disappointed look, she looked beautiful. Her dirty blonde hair with long locks that grew beyond her shoulders.

"If you don't want her to be your daughter, then she might as well be your sidekick or the next generation of ruler of Amazons," he continues to counter my argument

"Please, accept this gift, Diana" Mother says behind me, her soft hand touching my bare left shoulder

I look down at my sword, the weight of my shield that hangs on my back puts more pressure on my shoulders, the lasso of truth hanging by my waist burning my right thigh

Oh, Gods, even the lasso of truth knows I'll lie if I don't take in this child...

"I accept your gift, Zeus," I say, not even looking straight at him, clenching my fists

"Thank you, Diana, your majesty," Zeus lowly bowed his head towards my mother, he claps his large hands as the clay sculpture girl slowly came alive,

Zeus then dispersed into the smoke where his giant figure could no longer be visible in front of me

The clay girl was on the ground, naked as her long brown, wavy hair wrapped around her small shaky figure

My mother runs up to her,
"Please bring a blanket for her," Mother says to one of our servants, the servant obliges as she ran to grab a blanket for the clay girl
